In Norwegian regions we had the "christmas ram"
Someone dressed up as a ram, and had the job of pranking everyone at the Christmas party, and was allowed to flirt outrageously with the women. The tradition is said to have something to do with crampus, and as far as I remember, there is a link with baba yaga, a which that rode on a butter kernel rather than a broom. She also had a house with legs.

I know from a pro friend that pre-release can be pretty hard, so I can only imagine how harsh draft must be :)

Funny you should ask.
Most of the time the devil dealt with millers in person.
Traditionally demons were more into spoiling the harvest, so the grain wouldn't be grinded into flour.

I did see a movie with a mill demon recently though, but it was more fictitious than "real"

I know plenty about demons, if you need to know something about them :)

Magic is like a workshop.
You build stuff, trying to improve the machinery, or you go ahead and buy the damn fighter jet yourself.

Then you enter a massive world war and learn that there's a lot of fighter jets out there, and shrapnel and flares, oh, and a submersible fighter jet. So you go back to the workshop :)

There is a way to teach him "deckbuilding" in a fast and easy way.

Search for the decktag: halfdeck
And you will find a bunch of decks made up out of 30 cards. You put two random decks together and have a deck.

If you have 10 different halfdecks they can be put together in 49 different combinations.

You sound like you're able to design the decks yourself, so make sure each half exploits an easy theme, like ramp, discard, burn, lifegain, first strike and so on.

The kid will have a great time experimenting with what halves work the best and learns how the overall machinery of deckbuilding works.

Ah, those empty sponges that seeks and soaks knowledge, children is the word...

You shouldn't hold back in any way, if he has the talent for it, he has it.
You should try to figure out what his drive to learn it is.
Popularity, curiosity, a love for structure, money.

What we teach them shapes them :)

Good thing.
I'd say it would be impossible to import decks between paper and arena. It's that bad.

His build lacks a defence against mill, so it Is a talk about the card as an anti mill card.

If you play "reshufflers" like clear the mind, and days undoing, why not use a proactive reshuffler like guile, and hostility from llorwyn ? The end result is the same, there's a chance that these cards break your combo, but you need them to survive mill.

Search for the decktag: wdm prison
To see a series of decks I'm planning to merge.
The core of these decks were designed to hate mill away, and using two reshufflers was the most efficient means to fight mill. Mill frequently uses surgical extraction to fight reshufflers, but having two different reshufflers seems to break mill.

Adding guile, hostility, and/or possibly even purity will ensure that you defeat mill.

All of them cost 6 mana and considering the nature of your deck, it should be possible to actually play them.

That's a tough nut to crack.
It would have to be an anti mill land. Or something.
My best bet is to have 4 dire fleet daredevil in your sb to mill your opponent back.

Another detail is to let mill work for you.
If you play with mystical sanctuary and the opponent mills treasure hunt, then you get to play it rather early.

Your opponent will try to surgical extract keycards from your deck, so you can also try to play with cards that are very similare to each other but have different names. Also try to have 1 of each of those cards to make sure they extract nothing.

But in general, just get leyline of sanctity when you can. A lot of combo decks play 4 and reshuffle until they get it.

I once faced one of these with a mill deck.
I only won because of some crazy sideboard interactions and copying his batterskull with phyrexian metamorph.
I survived long enough to mill the rest, but I remember he had something that fouled most of my mill. Possibly leyline of sanctity.

According to our sources, just about half past twelve, for the first time in history, it's gonna start raining lands...

Hmm, come to think of it, why am I singing...
I should run like a freak.

The safest place to go might be the streets and I think I'll try to be where it rains swamps. The seas might be softer, but squids and sharks will be abundant.
