Very nice. Really similar to mine actually. A few helpful things I've found are hopeful eidolon and a full play set of aqueous form which really is the closer.

A play set if streetwraith is good for deck shrinkage. It cycles for life rather than Mana.

I agree with a lot of this. The deck is mostly an idea however.

A deck that is more in need of a Mana base is my naya slivers deck that I have yet to figure out. Uta a casual deck so the curve is off by a good deal because I need ways to break a stale board and those lie in higher Mana cost spells that in wouldn't usually run without ramp.

Fixed it up a tad but its still missing something.

Erebos prevents life gain. That's a creature (sometimes)

Melira plus persist creature means it can come back infinite times. Aahnods altar sacs for Mana so infinite Mana from the infinite sacrifice

Melira and druid doesn't work but other than that I like the deck :). Bout time somebody put helix pinnacle though its paces

However with recent improvements in their playing and deck quality it has forced me to tighten the noose slightly.

I just play tested it for the first time and I've found the locus ramp like crazy but tolrain academy would be nice in a perfect world but I think its a limited card so could only have one or my deck would be banned in every format. I'm thinking of ditching the Sol ring to make this less intimidating for my friends since its only allowed as a one of and I would rather not have something that powerful in the deck. The bulk of my decks are meant to be playful since I'm much more experienced than my friends at playing but it makes me smile when they get all excited when they win :) I'm trying to give them a chance. This deck is another deck I run that allows them that chance.

However your seggestiona are very good as I am a big fan of the academy and artifact lands especially when they are together.

Also who sees the nasty win combo in here? I've been playing it for a while and threw one of the pieces in for fun and turns out it can combo like crazy

Well for tutoring the cards you have several options

1. Demonic tutor
2. Diabolic tutor whichnis slower but I like it better for price and legality reasons
3. Liliana vess. Multiple tutors and a damage abosrber all in one bit heavy on Mana

Some fun ramp would be

1. Crypt aghast
2. Cabal coffers

Good kill spells which are my specialty

My favorites

1. Go for the throat
2. Doom blade
3. Tragic slip because it gets those pesky indestructible
4. Black suns zenith( will wipe the whole board without prejudice)

So. Seeing as this deck needs more cards I would say a ton of black ramp cards and search cards with some removal in their to keep you breathing till you hit the cards you need or the tutors to get them with. Four riots in hand is unfortunately almost impossible but the ability to stall and ramp with black will make the emrakul from the amulet possible
