And actually...Sunblast Angel is in my sideboard with the deck. Sorta of a second way to win.1st way...force tap of all opponent's creatures (Sleep, Tidal Surge...blue cards) and bounce them all with Thousand Winds2nd way...force tap of all opponent's creatures (Blinding Light, Ivory Charm....white cards) then nuke them with Sunblast Angel or Righteous Fury. See...that is why i need your help on things like this!!! lol.

Yes, i did. Go back and look at your response to my first comment...you told me my idea would not work because of the Pentagram style of play.I was just speaking in general...in trying to make a Hive Mind deck...that is what I seen that I would do...blue draw spells and black creatures...then instant/sorcery cards that nuked non-black creatures.Yes, it would not work with this deck/pentagram style of play. Sorry for the misunderstanding :)
Indeed...very pricey, but nice catch!
http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/khans-of-tarkir-spoiler/Take a look, I did, fyi, send out some more card suggestions for your Shaman deck. :)Spent about an hour on it (from 2am to 3am, my time). I lost sleep because of you! :)
Shred Memory can be a fetch engine for the Staff. Mana Skimmer, maybe? IF you have lots of stuff like Terror...and you get to untap the Staff 2 or 3 times in one turn...Skimmer could absolutely ruin opponent's mana base. You ask "what else this deck may need." I think it is like i mentioned...you need, perhaps, some Edicts/Murder/Terror...something that lets you keep untapping Staff. The Collar isn't enough, by itself. Or something like Nekrataal. Night Dealings could work...damn slow and only viable in multiplayer though. Pit Spawn is okay with Staff. Sidenote...looking through cards and found Spiteful Bully...nice combo with Stuffy Doll...anyways, back to searching: Vein Drinker is very iffy...probably not a good fit.Probably another bad fit...but possible choice would be Talon of Pain. The Staff would constantly be pumping him up. Barbed Shocker and Shocker. Crazy card would be something like Mudbutton Torchrunner and Staff...in emergency, nuke your own creature. It is going to do 3 damage to your opponent...plus it is going to untap your Staff, tap it to do 1 more damage. Would something like Power of Fire and the Staff stack damage? You could take it that way. Finally, Cunning Sparkmage :) It combos so damn nicely with Collar. Good luck!
http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/khans-of-tarkir-spoiler/Another deck in the mix. It is in the rough stages, for sure. Basically, wanting to use a card that hasn't even came out yet, lol. Card in question is Thousand WindsThousand Winds, 4UUCreature - Elemental, RareFlyingMorph 5UU (You may cast this card face down as a 2/2 creature for 3. Turn it face up anytime for its morph cost)When Thousand Winds is turned face up, return all other tapped creatures to their owners' hands.So...apparently Mtg is bringing back Morph. And each color gets an ability. Red gets Raid...which seems uber lame! Anyways, since Thousand Winds bounces tapped creatures...here comes Sleep and Tidal Surge for the win.Only question I am having is do i need to include white for Cloudshift/Momentary Blink...and try to be sneaky and Blink Thousand Winds into play at key times OR do I use full mono blue control and not worry about Blinking/flickering.
It does infinite damage too.Mind over Matter. Thornwind Faeries (or another Tim card). Curiosity. That is the combo.Have Faeries enchanted with Curiosity. Have Mind over Matter in play.Tap Faeries to do 1 damage to your opponent and draw 1 card with Curiosity. Now, using Mind over Matter discard the card you just drew via Curiosity to untap Faeries. Now repeat that over and over. For every card that you draw with Curiosity, just discard it via Mind over Matter to untap the Faeries. Very much the same as Niv.
And it is an EXCELLENT thing to exploit. Tempo is the name of the game. If you can keep it, you have a damn good chance at winning. Plain and simple.
Control decks...yuck!!! lol.Look up at your mana curve. See how it looks like you are shooting a giant bird finger at everyone? Yep, that is control for you!
This "blink" that you refer to comes from Momentary Blink.Cloudshift, Flicker. People use it on Act of Treason..same style as what you are doing with Closet. And been trying to do a The Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe deck...didn't know of the Closet card...it could suffice for the "Wardrobe" part of the deck.
This deck looks like a really decent deck to learn to play with. Pretty solid mana curve (needs a few more 1 mana cards, though).Pretty solid mana occurrence. Lots of 3 and 4 copies of each cards.
Where is Deranged Hermit?
You very much need draw spells...but not Quicken...it is a weak choice in this deck...you only have 4 cards that interact with it. And that is Void Snare (which I adore, it is the first 1 mana drop that returns non-land permanent without any negative side effects).
Seen this done before. Here is the link, so that you may get a few ideas:http://www.mtgvault.com/planestalker/decks/hive-mind-pact-deck/
You need better Tims:Thornwind Faeries over the Hunter. IT has flying. Suq'Ata Firewalker over the Spellcaster. IT has protection from red.And Curiosity, that is what everyone runs with Tims to draw cards. It can draw you cards or make your opponent draw all of his cards.
Will give you this, friend, looked at a few of your decks...and you must never topdeck, huh? :)
Mind over Matter isn't Modern, is it?
The deck is under 9 dollars. The captain is under a buck a piece. The Hero of Bladehold is out of the question...but maybe he could find room for Precinct Captain.
He is very nice! So is Mistmeadow Witch. My blue version is here:It runs the Rishadan Pirates for fun times. http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/flick-my-bic-2-pirate-budget/
I love the way you look at it, c smith 1989!
