Thalakos Seer and the Ninja are nice together, consider him.
Your Artifact rocks with all the flying creatures.
Lots of draw spells, nice.
Counterspells and Sprite for control.
Creature hate with Quicksand.

+1
Nice.

Mind checking this one out:

I love High Tide. One of my favorites.
Yes, cards that replace themselves rock.

Why I prefer Legerdemain is this: Donate is like the Bazaar Trader...it gives away one of my creatures.
Legerdemain lets me switch!
So if I have a Shield Sphere in play I can give it to my opponent in return for his best Artifact or Creature.
I give him Shield Sphere and I get a Propaganda or a Aetherling or something else really nice.
Ugh, remand is so expensive, but a great card!
But will trade it out.

What makes us work longer hours, in the USA, compared to our parents is the rise of technology.
Back in the day they had phones.
People worked 9 to 5 jobs.
Clocked out, and for the most part and for the majority of the people, that was the end of the work day.
Now we have tablets, iphones, computers, fax, etc etc...and some jobs require that you take your home with you.

But yeah, people have always worked themselves to death.

Toasty!

Got back into Magic last year (after almost 10 years of not playing) after my friend quit playing. I had not seen him in years. He shows up, and gives me his entire collection. Thousands of cards. Said if he kept them he knew he would just keep buying more. Anyways, the pride of his collection was a Red Goblin deck. He beat me down with it (again, had not played in around 10 years). And gave me the deck as well. It has 3 Goblin Guides. They were about 5 bucks then. I almost traded them for other cards. Now they are very pricey.

I like the assortment of damage amounts, helping you to be able to use the Second Rite.
Nice.

I been there, done that.
Burn is very easy to go to!
Sure, will check it out.

In return, what do you think about this deck?

"the concept of diminishing returns, to keep it very simple, is how much are you getting out for what your putting in. "

Well, then, speaking of financial cost...getting out what you put in: Maybe we can bring this topic up to beginners:

What decks are cheaper to build, that can be competitive?

Or another question for the beginners:
If I like to play burn, what prices am I looking at versus if I like to play control? What tribes are more expensive and what themes are more expensive.

Or even one more:
How much money do you have available and willing to invest?
And from that point decide what deck type to go with.

Maybe someone could throw down here, a list, of the Top 10 Cheapest deck types that can be competitive.
I am thinking, while not extremely competitive, Burn decks are toward the cheaper side (minus stuff like Goblin Guides).

When you start talking about, "Is 800 dollars acceptable for a Modern deck?" and "Is 2000 dollars acceptable for a Legacy deck?" it scares people off. When truth be told, you can make a 20 LLC deck or a 20 Bounce, that is fun to play and wins you games.

I think this is why Budget decks are so popular on here.
"Let me make a 20 to 30 dollar deck, cheap to make, that can win half of it's battles at the casual playing table."

Just commented on it. And cancel that deck idea of mine, dozens of people have them out.
Extraction decks...sadly...are just one of those decks where you have to throw money at them.
I mean, I seen several decent budget extraction decks out there...but most of them are lacking when compared to their expensive counterparts.

For the life of me, why the hell did I not buy Lion's Eye Diamonds back in the day when they were less than 3 dollars a piece?!

Is this the Budget Extraction deck you were talking about?
Thoughts...I love people who run 1 or 2 copies of cards. It amazes me because I am too scared to do it.
Even if I have a lot of search engines, I always have this idea in my head, "What if I don't get the card because I only have one copy of it in the deck?" So I go safe and almost always put 3 or 4 copies of every card in the deck. Safe and boring.
With that said though, of course it is safer to run 1 or 2 copies of most of your instants, with 4 copies of The Scepter. :)
Looks good! The instant cards, playing around with their numbers, would seem like the best way to improve the deck.

Good luck.

Going to build a budget extraction soon, KJSJS.
As soon as I get the chance.
Going to try and keep it between 25 and 50 bucks.

Something like this:

Turn 1. Island. Tome Scour (5 cards in graveyard)
Turn 2. Swamp. Mind Sculpt (12 cards total in graveyard)
Turn 3. Island. Dark Ritual. Haunting Echoes (search for all copies of the 12 cards in library, and remove them from game).

Good game.

Maybe it is Winter Orb I am thinking about...
Sorry.
Check those two bad boys out together.
Mana Web + Winter Orb.
I still want a make a deck out of them.
The lack of mana burn really hurts Mana Webs power.

Yep, that makes it even better.
Luckily I never play anyone with fetch land cards.
I put it in the sideboard.
I don't own this deck. One day I might make a budget version and buy it, though.

Maybe wrong...but I thought Mana Web affects you too.
And if Web does affect you (which I am pretty sure it does, which is why most people run them with green elf mana ramp decks), you will need the Medallions for mana support.
I bought 4 Mana Webs and 4 Winter Orbs together, back in the day. Never got around to making them into a deck though.

Surgical Extraction + Archive Trap is nice!

Sorry. I assumed as much. I just wasn't certain. That is why I asked.
And truth, yes, your decks are very complex and most people don't get them. I do try.
And you have to remember...half my problem isn't not reading your words...but the lack of understanding in rule mechanics. I suck at them. That is why I ask you so many dumb questions! lol. But I do try. Give me that, at least.
