I don't know. I havent really faced many decks I would bring them in against, but I havent needed the sb space for anything else yet. *shurgs*

A tempo deck is a deck based around disrupting your opponents play - messing up their tempo. UB is a powerful base for tempo because, as you see in this deck, you get both plenty of free counter spells as well as discard. Dark Confidant is there for card advantage, and Brainstorm/Ponder is to smooth out your draws. the 5 removal spells kill creatures that get through, and Tarmogoyf is there as a win con. Hope this helps!

Pretty fun deck! I think Hex Paracite would be awesome, as you can activate him for 0 targeting himself... If your life total is odd, you win. NDE is kinda expensive, so I would confided adding Tomb or Grim Monolith for ramp

*sigh* if you want your decks to get attention, actually build good decks, don't make your deck out to be good when it's not and spam other people's decks

Umm... Not sure how you can understand this deck but not GG. Goblin Guide is one of the 5 best 1 drops in red ever printed easily. I would say him, Grim Lavamancer, and Kurd Ape are the top 3 actually.

Anyways, GG is power, pure and simple. Mountain, GG is one of the best consistent plays for virtually any red deck in the game. He alone is a 10 turn clock. Now add that to all the other stuff you throw at them...

Ponder looks at 3 cards, Preordained only 2. Pretty simple. In general, such cards are ranked by:
1) # drawn
2) # seen
3) other effects (scry, shuffle, ect)

Thus brainstorm>Ponder>Preordain

TES is a combo deck that features a variety of win-cons. 4 Infernal Tutor and 4 Burning Wish are the main enablers of this deck, meaning that they are how one assembles the combo pieces. The idea is to use the mana-ramp and draw spells to obtain a high storm count, before casting one of the tutors to grab either Ad Nauseam (which then allows you to generate a ton of mana and storm and cast Tendrils for the win) or Empty the Warrens. Grapeshot is a backup win-con as well

The synergy I mentioned with Brainstorm works like this: Lets say I untap on turn 3 with 2 lands on the table, and another 3 in my hand, including a fetchland. I can brainstorm, put lands back, drop and crack the fetchland, and then I shuffle my extra lands away. Lands are a great example of this because this deck is set if it hits its 3rd or 4th land drop, but it also works with other things I don't want for whatever reason

Stifle a fetch or a wasteland is obviously great, but you can also hit Lavamancer, KotR (sac effect), Maze of Ith, Pithing Needle, planeswalkers, SDT, Dredge, and much much more!

I'm going to try out the green splash... What do you think of this? Nice and simple

That's not really true. Misty grabs Underground Sea first of all. It also has synergy with Brainstorm.

Interesting idea, but I fear he is far to slow for this deck.

Infernal works fine with the design of the deck. Also, both cards u mentioned are banned in legacy

BUG tempo was actually the inspiration for this deck in a way. The thing about BUG is that you are forced to run 8+ duels, making your mana base rather exposed to attack. BUG also makes running FoW and BB cards simultaneously noticably harder. Stifle is an amazing card in so many circumstances really

Jace costs 4, a strike against him here. I also feel there is simply no room for him... What would you possibly take out?

If only sinkhole was a good card... The truth is that sinkhole is no longer very relevant in the format, as it is kinda slow. I also want to keep BB mana costs to a minimum

Snuff Out is good, but I feel it is inferior to my current removal package. I used to have it over Ghastly though.

The fact I posted this deck would implu that, no, I did not know that, obviously since there is then no way to actually use Dreadnaught. However, I have looked over the oracle text in question and see no reason why it does not work. Would you care to explain?

Ahhhh, the magic of Alpha duels. You just hit the reason they are so awesome. Underground Sea IS an island. And a swamp. And does not ETBT. same goes for volcanic island.
