Thanks, as always, for the compliments. I sometimes feel people are afraid like criticizing my decks... I mean, I know I'm good, but I also know I'm not THAT good xD Anyways, yea, Price is actually something I saw someone play against me (luckily I was playing my belcher deck not affinity that day), and I was like "hmmm, that's a good idea" So I stole it :) I feel I can't o higher than 2 for space reasons, as I need helix and PtE in Aggro matches, and playing less than 7 bolts is just wrong. The Stoneforge sb is amazing, as it so smoothly replaces Qasali and GSZ vs control. I'm thinking of adding a Batterskull too, but I'm unsure about having 6 sb cards for that one package. Elspeth is surprisingly good on the sb also, though I'm thinking of dropping her as my control matchup is pretty good. Any suggestions? I would also like to drop a Teeg for another utility creature, but noone comes to mind... :/ Kitaki is because I have to play against ppl who have played me before... Ie people who copy my affinity deck. On the one thing it's flattering, but on the other hand it is a pain in the ass... I almost feel sorry for my vict-- opponents when I use Affinity ^_^ Pyroblast should be pretty obvious. So yea, that's my deck :) I'm glad you enjoy it!

Daze is getting less effective as midrange decks are becoming more popular. Snare always hits... (I don't think I gotta go over the list with you). I love BUG Landstill! And I'll try the dismember
Hmmm... That's close, I'll try the verdict
I'm glad I can still deliver ^_^ Any changes you would make?
I dont play blue. Thus counters are kinda hard. Plus he can be GSZ/Fauna/Hulk tutored. Wow, thanks man! Mind checking out my other recent decks?
Honest truth? You need a deck that doesnt die to pyroclasm most likely. I tried this deck, but pyroclasm kills you. Thus you can't beat UBR or Valakut. One guy who is really good in my tests is Glint Hawk Idol. Mass on the sb will help vs Valakut too. I would keep legionnaire, as his first strike is great, but drop Jor, as he is very very slow. Galv Blast >> Fling tbh, in most cases
Seems like you have a bit too much mana actually... Though overall a cool deck. I would drop the Tombs, as well as Cradle (if it's useful you have already won). You might replace them with 3 Maze of Ith, 2 Ghost Quarter, 1 Grudge. I think Confidant would also be a better draw engine than 6 cycle lands. PS: I'm back! Check back, as I have been brewing some competitive decks I think you might like to see. I'm even looking at T2 again (thank god for Bannings!)
I would use 1 Tendrils, 1 Ad naus, and then add some kind of tutor, Burning wish/Grim Tutor most likely
Most Storm decks run tutors maindeck. If you look at TES for an example (I have a list on my last page), it runs 4 Infernal Tutors and 4 Burning Wish. This means if you have 3 mana available, you can cast either card and activated LDE IN RESPONSE. This gives you the mana, makes you discard your hand, and then the card you cast goes off and finds Empty the Warrens which you can then cast with the 4 mana avaliable to you.
I would drop Valacut. It ETBT. that's bad in an aggro deck. Replace them with War Zones. I would also scrap the Landfall subtheme for more goblins, specifically War Drover and Guide. Signal pest is also better than Gavaleer. Finally, Spikeshot is awesome. Decent start though.
Thank you Mads. Greenestberg: Mads is correct about there not being a correlation between difficulty and success, I suppose I was not clear with what I meant. TES is a powerful deck, but is greatly underrepresented at tournaments due to the difficulty of playing it competitively. You said that Painter is more reliable for tournaments, and in the average players' hands I would agree. If you are one of the people who are very good with this deck however, then it is a better choice
It's been pretty good. It's not ideal since it targets, but I feel it is the best option in RUG really.
If you say so... Understanding how it works and being able to play it are two totally different things...
Tarmogoyf, Knight of the Reliquary, Swords to Plowshears, Stoneforge Mystic, Sword of Fire and Ice/Light and Shadow/Feasy and Famine, Green Sun's Zenith, Force of Will. Here's the thing about legacy, when u are just startingfrom T2, and u build Ur own decks, you will lise 99% ofthe time. The format is so fundamentally different than T2 that you will not be able to build a decent deck. One of the fundamental rules of legacy is that if it costs 4 or more mana and doesn't win the game, don't play it. Seems unlikely that would occur to a T2 player. The format is that much faster. There are mNy many more things to go along. Try legacy play 1st, and deck building later. Legacy deck buildin is hard, especially when Ur inventing a nw deck. Trust me, I basically reinvented an entire Archetype. Aggro/Control is more aggro w control backup. Control/Aggro is a control deck w creature aggro backup.
TES requires moderately aggressive mulliganing, yes, but many odd hands are playable. If you go to the Source you can find a great set of sample hands in the primer by the man who invented the deck.
The thing about TES is that it is insane in the proper hands, but those hands are few and far between. TES will never be as popular as something like UR Painter, since UR Painter is a pretty straight forward deck. TES is all about planning and strategy. TEs rarely flops if you know what you are doing. Also, "TES usually only works in legacy" doesn't make much sense... Duh? Thats the format it is built for? Caw-Blade usually only works in T2...
Well, Affiity has become more an Archetype than a specific deck really. Mox Diamond tells you to trash a land. You only run 16 of them! Mox Opal and Springleaf drum on the other hand have no downside in this deck, as you will always have metalcraft and usually plenty of dudes
Also, here is my must have list for a serious legacy player: White: StP, SFM Blue: Brainstorm, Ponder, Misstep, Daze, FoW Black: Dark Confidant (code-name Bob), Thoughtseize, Extirpate Red: Goblin Guide, Lightning Bolt, Grim Lavamancer Green: Noble heirarch, Goyf, Goyf, Korsan Grip, Goyf, GSZ, Dryad Arbor Multicolored: KotR, Qasali Pridemage Artifacts: SoFaI, SoLaS, SoFaF, Jitte, Sensei's Diving Top, Engineered Explosives, Basilisk Collar Lands: Every Fetchland ever printed, every Duel ever printed (Alpha/Beta>>>>Ravnica), Karakas, Ridshan Port, Wasteland
Yay for a new convert! Just as long as your cookies don't come out of my share... I agree that a good deck for you to start out with would be Bant, or maybe merfolk, but Bant runs almost only legacy staples which is nice. You can find my Bant NO Zenith Excalibur list on page 4. I would recommend you starting out with a control/aggro list rather than an aggro/control list since. They are easier to use (properly baiting counterspells in a format w FoW and Daze is HARD). I would take my list, and drop the SFM package, KotR, Karakas, one GSZ, and one Counterspell for 4 Misstep and 4 FoW
I have a feeling you might missunderstand if your record was that bad. Hitting 3 ramp spells into Wish into Empty the Warrens for 10 gobs is a win. Unlike ANT you don't gotta go Tendrils and usually don't. Don't know, but this might b the reason for your results. Or maybe your lack of experience means you don't see how to pull it off. Or you got crap luck. Idk
