What if you combined Bitterblossom, Thoughtpicker Witch, and Fatespiner?

Thanks! I like my land base a lot too :)

I disagree, bitter is good, but its not going to 'murder' the format. And Pulsing a bitter token is awesome :) And SoFaI is really really good :)

Although I agree sinkhole is kinda slow, following up a Pox with a Sinkhole is pretty powerful. Bloodghast is in here for kinda the same, but I'll admit nighthawk is sweet

Hmmm... Nvm lol. Generally Confidant is better as most decks (especially most w him) have an average cmc of about 1, plus you can easily get him killed if he is endangering you. But the curve here is so high maybe arena would be better...

Oh, and surewhynot? I found the answer :) If your nice I will tell you what it is.

And don't forget you can stifle wasteland or a fetch! They have already paid the cost though, so they will be down a land (and sometimes a life). Plus you can stifle... Confidant, Both of SFM's abilities, Planeswalkers, Jitte, any Sword, any equip ability, Bitterblossom, Deed, Dreadnaught, Shackles, Grim Lavamancer...

This deck is for the new Modern Foermat... Arena can't be played.

Surewhynot: I'm looking at options, I'll be back with ideas later... But damn your right :/ Check out some of my Modern decks? I'm back in the building and will they to add a deck a day (if I can have that many ideas without losing quality)

Sensei's Divining Top. Super awesome card and more or less Confidant's best friend. The really sweet thing is that it works great with all the fetchlands under a stifle, as you can use the fetchlands to shift out the cards you dont want as you dig for Dark Depths.

Interesting. You know Drain is banned right xD

Manabase wise I would simply go 4 Verdant, 4 Polluted, 3 Underground Sea, 3 Bayou, 2 Swamp, 1 Island, 1 Forest, 3 Wasteland :)

Ummm.... Common misconception. Deck thinning has been proven to be statistically insignificant. Assuming that you only draw fetchlands, you need to draw an average of 17 cards to 'gain' one card due to thinning.

Ooze rocks. The Modern Dredge deck is pretty slow and fragile as is, and Ooze really takes it to pieces. Beyond that, Ooze is easily pumped in this deck, as I kill or make you discard a TON of dudes. Love him.

Looks pretty decent HexDepths. Standstill is definitely a nice touch, as is propaganda. If you are worried about Beseech, you might want to try 2 SDT and 1 something else over the CotV. Maybe drop a land too and +2 tombstalker as an alt win-con.

Manabase wise, your really better off sticking to 2 colors. Drop the StP for Smother or GftT. It's not as good, but I'll bet the added strength to your manabase will be very useful. Along the same lines, you need basics :D

Thanks :) You know... You could always leave a comment about something you especially liked about a deck... /ego

Seriously, I'd be happy to check it out, but I'll make you a deal. Look up the Player BoredomDecks and rip him a new one on his deck. I was so flabergasted by the way he shrugged off everything I said, I y have no clue how to reply. And then he condesended at me saying that "maybe" I "might have something to contribute" :(

Ok, I'll be blunt: This is really bad. I'm sorry, but calling this tournament quality shows you don't understand legacy.

Tectonic Edge: Meet Wasteland
Seachrome Coast: Meet Tundra
Counterspell: Meet Daze
Mana Leak: Meet Force of Will
Spell Pierce: Meet Mental Misstep
Sword of Body and Mind: This is the right choice actually. Nice guess
Sword of Feast and Famine: Arguably the worst sword in legacy. You should be playing Batterskull
Sylvok Lifestaff: Umm... Jitte anyone?
Squadron Hawks: Umm... seriously?
Jace 3.0: No way in hell. Elspeth
Gideon: you are aware this card costs 5 right? And is pretty weak?
JTMS: Play 4 or go away.
Tumble Magnet: Go away.
Preordain: Strictly worse than Ponder which is strictly worse than Brainstorm.
Other mana-base stuff: You need Mishra as your manland, and should play atleast 4 fetches, and they should be Flooded Strand.

Oh, and go find some Swords to Plowshares and Vendilion Cliques too. As Mercedes said, this is a T2 deck with a few banned cards. No way in hell it is in the same galaxy as legacy decks

This is a largely untested list... sort of off the top of my head. In the original list I had 2 goyf and a Jitte, and with 3 equips, you want 4 SFM. I later realized that Jitte was banned though, so I pulled it out for a third goyf. I think your right though, with only 2 equips 4 SFM is a little overkill. I'll try out a third bitter in that slot. I'd also like to fit an EE or two in somewhere if I have room...

Looks cool :) Have you had any issues getting to 6-7 mana with only 20 lands? I would recommend that you consider some discard, even just thoughtseize over Mortify should make your game more consistent.
