Add a few more merfolk (Judge of Currents and Stonybrook Schoolmaster) so that you rely less on copying Lullmage. Then I'd add Intruder Alarm.

Well, that's assuming that it gets through. I guess the combo would be simpler with Mage Slayer and Whispersilk Cloak.
Not really, but I run 3 Terramorhpic Expanse (haven't ever needed it, really) and 3 Fertile Ground (again, haven't needed it. Utopia Mycon is ass the mana fix I seem to need. Selesnya Evangel will work with Gilder Bairn, but I don't think you need it. Boomerang would be WAY easier and give you more options (as in Boomerang the Mycoloth back to your hand and devour 100 creatures instead of 2...), but, again, I don't think you need it. Especially if you're playing 1 on 1. I play mine in 3-5 player free for all and have NO trouble swarming them with saprolings thanks to Pallid Mycoderm (I can't stress enough how awesome he is).
Also, you got your perfect game wrong. You get 2 tokens 5th turn, not 1. But why sac those 32 1/1's for mana when, with Pallid Mycoderm you can give all your creatures +32/+32?
I run this same deck, and I know for a fact Birds of Paradise, Thallid Shell-Dweller, Thallid and Tukatongue Thallid are wasted space. I'd replace them with with Thellon of Havenwood, Pallid Mycoderm (a MUCH better version of Thallid Germinator), Savage Thallid, and some ways to give your creatures trample. The basic idea is to maximize your options with the Saprolings. There really isn't any reason to waste a drop on a Fungus that can't utilize the Saprolings he can make.
Exactly. I'm working on a separate Saproling deck right now.
I would switch out Angel's Trumpet for Dolmen Gate.
Brood Sliver for the win.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
It's an extremely random quote from on of my favorite TV shows.
Ok, a bit vague and obvious. Stack the deck with Sensei's. What if there aren't any creatures in the top three cards so that you get nothing with Leaf-Crowned? Draw a few cards and do it again.
To draw cards.
Rawesome
lol. Nice. Yet another way to play Merfolk. I have three different fish decks myself and they all are winners. Lorwyn really made 'em shine.
Everyone needs to cool it with the legend rule. I'm kinda sick of hearing about it. You should add Curiosity for Niv-Mizz.
Ah, I forgot to mention that, didn't I? With the addition of Cream of the Crop, I need every creature I can get my hands on. I used him a couple of times and I found that I liked the way he played much more then Root Grapple.
Ok, I sideboarded some multiples in case I'm up against removal/destrction decks. Also added a counter spell and destruction spell, as well as a cheap defender.
Good thing we play Legacy then, huh? I don't need 3 Doran. He's really cool, I'll give you that, but he's not integral to making the deck run. As for TImber Protector, I'm going to play test some more before I go back to running 3.
HA! Playing against my friends elves and this happened... I had (among other things) 3 Bosk Bannerets, 2 Leaf-Crowned Elders, Sensei's Top, Cream of the Crop, Sanguine Bond, 2 Orchard Wardens and 7 lands on table. Used the Top to put an 18/18 Dauntless Dourbark on top of the library for the first Leaf-Crowned, then used Cream of the Crop to put another in my hand. Got lucky and used the Top to put a 19/19 Dauntless on top of the library for the second Leaf-Crowned, then Cream of the Crop to put Akroma's Memorial in my hand. Then I played a 20/20 Dauntless for 1 mana and used Cream of the Crop to put a Forest in my hand. Played the Forest, then put down Akroma's Memorial for 7. By the time the attack phase rolled around, my friend had lost 114 life and still had 40, so I attacked with said 3 Dauntless Dourbarks and dealt him 60 damage. Brutal.
Whoops. Didn't even notice the fact that this was T2. My bad.
