Pretty sweet wolf-deck. If you do add the Master of the Wild Hunt, he will also trigger the wolf-skull shaman, if you put him back in. Also, changelings that are both wolves and elves can be good. I just threw together this wolf/elf/ally deck--http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=175368

Not that you need it here, but add Dross Scorpion with your second combo for infinite artifact untaps.

I'm confused as to how this is a budget deck...

Predatory urge is great with Protean Hydra. Also try Wojek Embermage + Sprouting Phytohydra.

good call--I'm going to try Glimpse of Nature over Harmonize at first, and if that doesn't do as well as I expect it to, I'll swap it. Thanks!

I agree that I'd get more consistent play if I had more playsets, but a large factor in making this deck was the fun coming in a different hand every time. Also, I didn't feel like spending for the playsets of Ram-Gang, Apocalypse, Deus, and the Liege--I bought x2 of each now, and I'll probably by another x2 of each later--I'm young and poor, or maybe just cheap, lol.

I see what you're saying about Broodmother, but she's in here for two reasons--1), I play a lot of multiplayer, and her ability triggers during each upkeep, and 2), the dragons she makes are both red and green, like every other creature here, which will then put two +1/+1s on Ulasht.

I did condense it a little, though. Thanks for your input.

I like all these suggestions. Which creature with evoke are you talking about--Shriekmaw?

Cool idea- went ahead and sideboarded a few infinite combos for splashing blue. Thanks!

There are tons of merfolk that abuse the tapping/untapping mechanism--check out merrow commerce, leech bonder, merrow rejeerey and merrow levitator are some of my favorites for untapping. You might also check out pemmin's aura/umbral mantle.

With the shroud, Lightning greaves would be good if you want to spend the money, if not, I like Favorable Destiny and Rebuff the Wicked (insta-shroud, basically). As for the artifacts, I was more thinking sideboarding the darksteels in case you're playing against an artifact deck, or a deck you know has an artifact you might really want to steal.

2 myr retrievers gives you an infinite number of artifacts to sac. Also maybe an Ashnod's altar to mana ramp up to your Sphinx.

Maybe Semblance Anvil to make your artifacts cheaper.

I would definitely add Nomad's Assembly here.

I would think about maybe some Darksteel Relics for stealing their artifacts. Also, a good combo with confusion in the ranks would be shroud--it would allow you to keep them from stealing specific creatures you want to keep. Also Goblin Assault is fun with Twilight Drover. Good luck!

I like the idea of the soul eater a lot--how many would you add, and what would you take out?

In my experience, splashing one color for a single card rarely pays off...I'd thought about making this a U/W deck instead, but I like the flavor and sync of the B/W better. I'm not too worried about Dark Tutelage, especially if I have the Phyrexian Unlife out, as it just helps me get to my combo sooner.

Good call, thanks: +4 Mana Leaks, +1 Wurmcoil, -2 Lux Cannon, -1 Contagion Engine, -1 Chimeric Mass, -1 Steel Overseer. I like the mana curve better now, too. Still not great, but better. Thanks again.

I disagree, I'd keep the Magistrate for the Magistrate/Warcaller combo. He's also great with devoted druid.

I love the Immaculate/Warcaller combo, been abusing that since Warcaller came out, lol. The only other card I might consider throwing in here is Mercy Killing--basically a Swords to Plowshares for Elf Decks, but that is mostly effective with the Onslaught block elves and others that boost from each Elf in play (wellwisher, wirewood pride, elvish guidance, etc.) Overall, an awesome iteration of an elf deck.

You should check out some of the new-coming cards for the commander decks...Nin, the Pain Artist combo'd with Niv should be epic.

Immaculate Magistrate may solve your problems. If you can drop one and keep it from getting bolted (I use Wirewood Symbiote for situations like that), then once you tap it and add the counters to your Warcaller, you're set against most everything except a WoG effect. I'd also defnitely suggest Genesis Wave.
