I run a Druid deck with a similar concept, but different goal here: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=136489 You may find something you want to tweak with.

Isolation Cell = welcome back, Soul Barrier... =D
I have one pretty similar to this--I love Goblin Grenade, Reckless One, and Goblin Outlander/Deathraiders. Also, B/R gives you some great cards for control--terminates and blightnings, particularly. I love that this deck doesn't really need lightning bolt, as you can keep returning the tarfire to your hand with Wort. Cool deck.
I love a deck with 6 Joraga Warcallers in it...j/k. Look into Immaculate Magistrate, him + Warcaller is ridiculous.
Mutagenic Growth?
As opposed to 4x Timberwatch elf, I'd consider adding 2x Immaculate Magistrate, as they add counters that stay in play, and 2x Wirewood Pride, which do exactly what Timberwatch does as a 1cmc instant--there are pros and cons to each--Timberwatch is better if your opponent is also playing a deck with elves, but the Magistrate/Warcaller combo is hard to beat. also taunting elf, and definitely wirewood lodge.
No taunting elf? Also, if you look into the newer rares at all, the sickest combo out there right now, in my opinion, is Immaculate Magistrate + Joraga Warcaller. It gets out of hand really fast.
A couple canopy covers for Melira? One bolt and you're done.
Instead of splashing blue just for distant melody, why not run genesis wave? You could wave, then use your elixir to shuffle it all back into your library.
That's not how precursor golem works--the copied spells have to target each one of your golems--you lightning bolt one of your golems, you are lightning bolting all of them. You target one golem with bull rush and assault strobe, then all of your golems get +2/+0 and double strike.
T2 kill would be: T1: swamp, dark ritual, hexmage/greaves T2: Dark depths, dark ritual, greaves/hexmage. Sac hexmage for Marit Lage, equip her with greaves, swing for 20.
Elvish Visionary isn't standard. Otherwise, great deck. Have you looked into Ezuri at all?
I was gonna recommend Feldon's Cane, and if you wanted to change this deck up a bit, you could use the Tim/Curiosity combo inside a Tolarian Academy deck nicely--if you have a couple of those $35 cards laying around, lol.
Gotta think, though--assault strobe will just be one more damage on turn 1, but it'll be two more T2, four more T3, etc. Could very much come in handy later than some things. I do admit that I do not know what I would take out to put them in, though. Also, if you really want to break this deck, Isochron Scepter could be fun. :-)
Love it--I started playing just before Onslaught block, so a lot of these cards have a dear place in my heart, lol. You can see how my elf deck started out of that block, too--http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=103549. The only thing I'd look into possibly are some search cards--elvish harbinger for Channeler, and tutors (enlightened/diabolic) for aura, which you can play with Channeler. Also, maybe a vitalize--that way, if you can get kamahl out without the channeler combo, you can tap all your forests to turn them into creatures, then vitalize and overrun. Another great Kamahl combo you might be interested in for another deck: Kamahl with a Goblin Sharpshooter + deathtouch= destroy all opponent's lands.
I have fooled around with thran dynamo and a couple other artifact tappers. I like using pacifism, may throw some in here, but I'd usually rather hang onto a sword for late-game. I'd also rather have the mana for a rebuff if stinkdrinker get's bolted, which can slow me down a lot. Overall, losing a little life early on isn't so bad when Brion flings a Behemoth or Goliath, and I get the lifegain. Also, yes, those repacks are really hit and miss. The shop is a comic/collectible shop that focuses much larger on music/movies/comics, but has a small Magic client base. Their repacks are advertised as having 25 rares, 50 uncommons, and about 200-250 commons for ten bucks. Since they only have a few workers who understand magic cards, I've gotten some really good repacks, and some really bad ones--it's just as much a gamble as buying boosters is.
It's definitely a very casual deck, and I don't play it often. turns 1-3 are usually tough, but 4-5 are when it starts to pick up. I fool with it every now and again, throwing in lower cmc creatures like cerodon yearling and angelic wall to test them out, but if I can drop a stinkdrinker daredevil t3/4 and a feudkiller's verdict turn 4/5, that usually resets the game pretty nicely.
Couple ideas--try some transmute creatures to search out Maralen, but I would also look into Bloodchief ascension here--you don't get the mill win, but one archive trap with a leveled out bloodchief wins it for you. Could look something like this: T1: Swamp, pulse tracker. T2: Swamp, bloodchief's ascension, attack with pulse tracker. ---T2 1/2: dark ritual, hideous end. T3: Maralen, attack with pulse tracker. ---T3 1/2: Archive trap for the win.
Dragonspeaker Shaman is essential in decks like these, imo.
With Coat of Arms, presence of gond + devoted druid = infinite elves.
