That'd be true if Overlord was the only win-con, but there are also broodmates, outcasts, and flameblasts. If that were the goal, there'd be playsets of each. This is more a dragon-tribal deck. I do see where you're coming from, though--my deck that is all about heralding into overlord has 4x Sprouting Thrinax in it. :-)

No Immaculate Magistrate to break Joraga wide open?
Also, Sprouting Phytohydra is, imo, the truest Hydra ever printed--chop one down, and with two doubling season out, three spring back up. :-)
Predatory Urge is nasty here, especially with Protean Hydra.
Traumatize into Keening Stone is awesome fun. Also, I know they're expensive, put a playset of Glimpse the Unthinkable is a must-have for a mill deck.
I am a little curious as to why Omnath isn't in here?
I've also lately been using Wirewood Symbiote to return useful creatures like Sylvan Ranger and Elvish Visionary to my hand.
I run a similar deck I just put together ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=175368 ) that's wolf/elf/allies, with some changelings thrown in to act as all three. Some things you might consider- -Mosswort Bridge: great for dropping Wolfbriars and Howls on the cheap. -Priest of Titania or Elvish Archdruid -Wirewood Symbiote: Return your Sylvan Ranger to your hand to untap your Llanowar (or Priest/Archdruid) -Might of the Masses: Especially helpful when you have LOTS of wolves and elves. -Harmonize: These have saved my life multiple times in this deck. -Skyshroud Claim: better than cultivate here (though it costs 1 more), because the only basic land you want is a forest, and it puts two in untapped. Anyway, cool deck--check my deck out if you get a minute, I built the whole thing for less than $20.
Gaveleer + Infiltration Lens is an awesome idea.
I like it, but most of the abilities won't trigger off of it--since they enter the battlefield tapped, they never actually "become" tapped.
If you like the Mercy Killing/Warcaller combo, look at Immaculate Magistrate + Warcaller.
Sideboard Mercy Killing. Pump one of your own and kill it for lots of elves, or kill one of their threats, which just gives more pump to your Timberwatch and Priest of Titania. Also maybe Wirewood Pride. Awesome elf deck.
The only other question I have is, why no taunting elf? He's great with infiltration lens, especially if you use Ezuri to regen or just beef him with Immaculate to wipe their board, hehe. :-)
Why is Dragon's Claw sideboarded over Kor Firewalker?
Thanks, I dig it.
If you wanna be a super jerk, throw Worship into this deck.
In my experience, the Godspeaker doesn't do you much good...you have to have basically a handful of huge creatures in order for him to be worth much of anything. I prefer the Exuberant Firestoker most of the time.
How about some non-creature spells to load Animar up with +1/+1 counters, like Strength of the Tajaru, for instance?
I would sideboard White Knight (and add Silver Knight), and exchange it for Knight of Meadowgrain. Also, a Loxodon Warhammer could get nasty.
Great mana ramp here. Mosswort Bridge is a favorite of mine in decks like these, just for getting to cast HotNP for free, or Wolfbriar so you can kick him more. Also, Might of the Masses is really good once you get a lot of wolves out.
