This is a pretty neat deck, and it seems incredibly reliable for an EDH, kudos man this is very well done. So far trying to break into this format has been impeded by Shiny Thing Syndrome, caused me a headache trying to get consistency, and made me start working on jazz guitar again. Something about the new ooze making me think about I'm the Slime by Frank Zappa, or something like that, can't quite remember... But I THINK I might have it now, maybe.

There is but one thing to say in this situation; @#$%!
Well that explains the name of the archetype, I couldn't figure it out(D'oh!).
Boom, my standard gameplan after a rough doodling. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=197634 Yes, it uses the wallet sculptor, but I use him the RIGHT way; two copies, mostly brainstorm, bounce some of the bigger threats, and the very rare use of fateseal.
I dooooo! Or did, it is gone now... If emulators count, I have it still, but alas I don't think they do. On another note, I love Zuran Orb with Crucible of Worlds in this deck. Also, the dinosaur elf, is AWESOME
Sounds obnoxious, did not think about that. I apologize.
Makes sense. Also, I would really appreciate it. I will probably oogling EDH lists to get a feel for them this current week.
I'd be very interested to see your list, I have no real experience with EDH, so I'm not quite sure what it should look like. It'd be nice to have a guideline :/ And as for Maralen, I'd not go that deep, but I would use Vendilion Clique XD
I've been thinking about Gaddock Teeg :P From what I hear, it'll be amusing.
Hive Mind combo happened the year it was printed I think... Not sure, didn't play then. I've seen a good few of these decks running about, I was cheering it on against the FoWless Bant. If you like strange niche combo decks, you should check out the four horsemen on salvation. It's even more 'wait whaaa' than hive :O
It can be done, and well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKxsxVi8Z3g And no EDH deck here, they banned Braids and Kokusho >_> I would have one but I've not really tried since I found out the two generals I wanted to use are banned for it.
Hmm, I don't know which form of zoo this qualifies for. I usually just see Zoo Sligh or Zoo Stompy, and the once I saw a ten land zoo, but that was just weird. Neat.
I don't get it, what part of this is madness? I play a RUG list that plays Progenitus and Joe plays a parallel list without, both are good(I think with the current meta his is stronger because of a playset of Grim Lavanmancer's, and access to Basilisk Collar). Is the Deceiver trick THAT powerful in standard? Pestermite wasn't that powerful in extended, but perhaps that was just because normal faeries and five-colour control shut it out... My experience with standard ended when I saw that people still haven't just made something SPECIFICALLY for killing cawblade...
There's a list of people here that anytime I see a deck of theirs that I can form a coherent thought on other than 'epic' I try and post something. I've just been unable to fully process things recently, I've been practicing the Paul Gilbert take on Johann Christian Bach's A Major harpsichord concerto's first allegro... I've been playing guitar for over a decade now, and I'm still dumbfounded by it.
Makes sense. Also, I like the little Basilisk Collar douche-baggery. I think I'd have to try slipping that in if mine wasn't a NO list, I the look on the opponents face when you pull crap like that.
Commented :D And yeah, I don't think Fish is a good deck in reality either. I find Bant to have better tricks, better control, and even better aggro. Sometime soon I plan to make another Bant deck for amusement purposes, I'll give you a hint; Silent Arbiter, and Maze of Ith XD
This is an epic elf deck, and looks very much like what I believe one of my friends would play if he turned his elves legacy/business. Bravo, overall a ten for ten on horde/tribal symbiosis. I have a small thought though, what about something like this little change? I don't know how badly it could damage the jump curve, shouldn't be that much though, but then again I have been VERY wrong about this kind of thing with elves... I'm not that good with green and red. -1 Lys Alana Huntmaster -1 Immaculate Magistrate +2 Green Sun's Zenith
:O My plan has holes in it now! I like the new look for the deck, ping is something I always found amusing. I have had some fun with it in Legacy via the card Grim Lavamancer, kind of the super Sparkmage in its format. And killing an Obliterator with a red card is just awesome, it's like giving it's ability text the finger :P
Oh, and Sun Titan is REALLY fun for the format if you don't like the wallet sculptor. Constant Phrexian Revokers, Jace Beleren's, or ect. While swinging a 6/6 beater with vigilance
So resolving Torpor Orb; officially my entire gameplan if I pick standard up. :P In all seriousness this is a rather nice deck for the format, but I think you could do with some more counters perhaps. I don't happen to really know which ones are available to you, but I know that back during Zendikar/Alara a popular move for W/U control was to cast Deprive and bounce Halimar Depths. I have no idea if I am being helpful or not, but I can pretend :P
