I haven't seen Canadian Thresh in a while, nice to know it still kicks around. Also, I've never been one for sower, but a lot of people have been having nice results from it. How does it treat you?

Joe, you didn't 'basically' reinvent affinity if that's what you mean.. You fed the gremlins after midnight, and you can't deny it! :P Also, a staple interaction for you to think Ethan; Natural Order, Dryad Arbor, and Progenitus. You'll probably wind up doing it a lot in Legacy Bant, unless suddenly popping out a creature who has protection from coffee stains isn't 'cool'.
Maybe it's just me, but I keep seeing Thoptertop, and there it's just laughter if they can't get rid of it. Then Affinity, Painter's Stone, and in the case of my Reanimator it deals with hate. I usually find myself in an overabundance of SB slots, so I like to toss two in there for those. Also, it deals with a resolved AEther Vial in the very off game, had bad judgement days and done that to somebody.
Terra Eternal has been tried in lands, it's just kind of redundant though. We have plenty of ways to deal with people killing our lands, for instance Life from the Loam and Crucible of Worlds. And I agree that your deck should be fast enough, it's @#$% Boros! It's closer to being a combo deck in standard than valakut!
When I first saw the Hive Mind combo, I was suddenly very happy I have my lands deck. :D Not only should I be able to pay pay for their pacts, I should be able to keep them from being able to go off till the cows have come home. And on Skyfisher, they have some amusing applications, and a lot of practical value. I don't really see a reason to run squadron hawk if you're not seeing tons and tons of removal, from what I hear cawblade isn't nearly the same anymore, so I say go for it.
Hmmm, dangerous. Liking the UBg approach you've adopted, it's a light splash, and a very powerful one at that. I also note you're running Null Rods in the board, how're you enjoying them?
Only so many times you can listen to the lonely island though, so it sets in regardless of if we want it to.
Ninjas can't kill samurai, Boris and Natasha can't kill moose and squirrel. That's the short version, the long version was an hour long rant... I think Brian may be right lol
The conversation was about who would win in a fight; samurai or ninjas? Samurai won when somebody compared them to Rocky and Bullwinkle. No drugs or alcohol involved, just boredom.
I've never before heard a Samurai compared to a deer... Moose? Check. Squirrel? Check. Deer? Whaaaa?
I've actually run three FoW since before Misstep, it's really the overall size of the counter suite that matters. With magic, I think in terms of Reanimator, where I like to run nine counters main deck with two stifles and a spell pierce in the board. I didn't list Misstep in staples because it's something I figured Ethan already saw the potential of for Legacy off of a game with Fish. Also, I personally don't like losing my best hard counter, so I don't quite like the list that ran no FoW's. I like it because it means I can get away with more, but I agree with Ethan that it would've been awesome if Hive Mind topped it. Finally, I like the sound of using Skyfishers instead of hawks Ethan. It's a techy move, but it's one that makes sense right now.
Rhox War Monk, Trygon Predator, Qasali Pridemage, Kitchen Finks, and Knight of the Reliquary are popular choices. I don't play Bant much anymore myself, I've taken to RUG right now for the roles it used to play for me. I know RaggedJoe has a nice Bant list up here, it's a lot less focused on tricks than my builds had been, and because of that it's gentler on mulligans. I did aggro-control there like I do with everything :D Also, backtrack 4. It makes comps a breeze.
Hmmm, staples really depends entirely on what line of game you intend to play. I'm a blue based player(shocking isn't it?), so my staples are Force of Will, Daze, and Brainstorm. If you want to go with aggro right now, there's a G/W deck called Maverick that's been doing pretty well recently. Stoneforge packages have become quite good as Edna said, so you could go with that. Staples for green pretty much boils down to Tarmogoyf, and white is Swords to Plowshares pretty much... Red is completely beyond me, I just kinda use a pair of Grim Lavamancers and other than that you're probably better versed than I am. And Edna, what would this game be without cookies? If you've never eaten cookies while playing this game I highly recommend it.
I think the plural of Samurai(or what I can guess from your deck) is death. Or slaughter, or maim, ect. This is a really neat tribal Wumpus, never knew about some of these samurai. Kudos for the job well done here
Mmmm, Dismember... You have become my fish decks crack. Like the deck Ethan, I KNOW this kind of standard. I rarely enjoy standard, and I not only enjoy this, I think I'd play something almost exactly like this if I did play it. Only thing I'd do to change would be suit it for my meta, and that's true for any deck. Also, you know you want to join the legacy side of MtG; we not only have cookies, we have viable mono-white aggro, and G/W Aggro is currently on the rise with the advent of Maverick. :O
What's this? Jon Belushi jokes on the front page?! Yes, very yes!
Alright, now that I can understand. A good strategy for the more aggro designs.
I like most of them, but I dunno about Elspeth. I'm not a planeswalker person though, so I might just be biased.
Oddly enough, I've been working on something similar this morning.
I'm not big on infect, but personally I've always found U/G the most dangerous. It can run things like this little assault method, backed by control. I like to think of it like intuition elves(legacy deck, fun stuff), but I really just don't know standard any more. I kind of stopped paying attention to it other than cards I think I can use in Legacy, but I think I might make something for it again. All in all, nice infect deck.
