Oh. That is interesting.... actually I haven't. I didn't even know skyship was a card tbh. I honestly don't think this deck needs it however, because when you can chain together three or four extra turns with As Foretold out, it gets kinda big, kinda fast.

Also, thoughts on replacing Slip thru Space with Key to the City as my unblockable trigger? Slip is cheaper, but only lasts 1 turn and nets me 1 card. Key is slower, but can be reused every turn, and allows for continuous draw...

Ooh, okay, yeah, that's probably more important.

Yeah, especially with not having Aether Hub to give another activation, Mesmeric is better. Switched it.

I totally did not realize that. I appreciate the note, that would have been unfortunate to discover during gameplay.

I'm interested to see how it goes, thanks for the feedback!

I agree on defending the Bridge, but I just can't find room for it. I can't cut any mill on the off chance we don't get our Fraying, and I think all the control in there is crucial to have. And the sideboard is tailored to fix the deck against matchups that we might not beat already, so it doesn't have much wiggle-room.

I feel Serum Visions has a better counterpart in Visions in this deck.

I did take your suggestion for Grafdiggers in the sidebaord, but I cut one of the black leylines instead, for this reason: Disenchant is in there to stop a Blood Moon, which would totally and utterly screw this deck. So if you think they sideboarded Blood Moon, you best get Disenchant. The reason I cut the Leyline is because that leyline kind of screws over Fraying and Surgical, so we want to use it as little as possible, but it's still crucial for decks like dredge.

There are so many decks where pulling out the right card utterly shuts down the deck. The only problem is now I have to get good at naming that card in the first game.

That's why its so hard. You can't be completely dependant on control, because you still need the mill in case you dont get Fraying, but you also want as much control as possible so you can live to use the fraying.

... I probably should have paid more attention to my curve... Didn't even look at it till now... I still feel like ensnaring bridge is going to be pretty powerful, especially with mills ability to dump its hand, as I've noticed it does...

Surgical extraction is ment to help the control aspect of the deck. You want to use it to pick apart whatever their gameplan is so that the rest of your control is as powerful as possible.

(I totally messed up, I ment to have funeral in there, got confused for grind. Thanks for pointing it out.)

Okay, I threw together another list, this time a little more control-y, and I took Maniacal's esper idea, and threw in white for the better sideboard options. Check it out, lemme know what you think:

Yeah, I fully agree with that. It seems like the only options are full out speed-mill with little to no control, or all out control with a hint of mill.

Heres that more control-y one, although, I think I'm going to rebuild it, doesn't seem good looking at it now...

Nice to meet you Manical! I'm a mostly standard mill player and I'm looking to get into modern, but sadly, money is a problem...

A few details about the deck:
- It started from a deck that just threw together every good mill card in modern, and called that a day. That deck is referenced in the deck details if you'd like to check it out.
- This deck is just an iteration that does what the deck detail says. It tries to hit as many cards as possible in the space of 3 turns. And I think it does its job incredibly well. Now I do agree with you, especially after playtesting it a little (proxied it, didn't buy it), it gets beat a lot. So I built another deck with a little more control. Although finding that balance between control and mill is.... difficult.

Lots of people seem to have different opinions of Visions... I tend to agree with you, but if you look at the discussion, I actually dropped it for something else based on some data from wicked, I think... oh! More lands. I was running like 20, which is too little based on suggestions.

Is Benefaction of Rhonas a common? Because that would fit well in here

So I took your deck, and combined it with a competitive Modern Scapeshift deck...

here's the result.

In testing it, no... It's not as consistent as it could be. HOWEVER, it is a very powerful deck, and even when it doesn't get the combo, it is extremely capable of stalling to dig to the combo, and functions EXTREMELY well as a prowess deck. The combo is just a fun thing that can happen every once and a while.

Some standard cards that could be good:

Architect of the Untamed
Creature — Elf Artificer Druid 2/3, {2}{G} (3)
Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you get an energy counter.
Pay 6 Energy Counters: Create a 6/6 colorless Beast artifact creature token.

Fork in the Road
Sorcery {1}{G} (2)
Search your library for up to two basic land cards and reveal them. Put one into your hand and the other into your graveyard. Then shuffle your library.

Crawling Sensation
Enchantment {2}{G} (3)
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put the top two cards of your library into your graveyard.
Whenever one or more land cards are put into your graveyard from anywhere for the first time each turn, put a 1/1 green Insect creature token onto the battlefield.

Out of the three, Crawling is diffidently the weakest, but when I saw your deck, it made me think of that one. (and I honestly thought Crawling was a lot better than it is...)

I think the deck needs more ways for you to discard cards from your hand to fill up the graveyard. I understand cycling, I just dont think the creatures you currently have are worth it. Also, finding room for 4x Fatal Push mainboard should probably happen, because in a deck that can run it, you probably should.

I'm pretty sure it does, but just checking, does As Foretold work on the flashback effects for my copy spells?

What do you think about dropping TiTi and maybe Abrade for some copies of either of the looting ones?

Yeah, i understand that, but in the long run, those are going to help you a TON more than your opponent, because you will benefit from them several times during one of your "turns"
