Fatal push?
You could try Authority of the Consuls, It does the same as Blind Obedience (minus artifacts and extort) but it gains you life every time they play a creature, which could keep you alive for a bit longer.
Hey wicked. What you said of trying to mill as much as possible within 3 turns of your death really got me thinking, so I put together a deck list based on that idea. Let me know what you think?http://www.mtgvault.com/thevanished/decks/3-turn-mill/
Okay, filled it out.
(responding to both DedWards and wickeddarkman)Firstly, thank you both so much for all the advice! I greatly appreciate it!I've implemented some of your suggestions into the deck (see all my changes in the deck description), but holy crap, some of those are brilliant! I decided not to put any creatures in, for a few reasons. Creatures that can mill are just too weak to be worth it sometimes. Not in terms of milling, but in staying out to mill. And it's also just funny to me that this deck has no creatures, and it's become like a joke that it doesn't, one that I'd kinda like to keep.Specifically DedWards:I agree, Mind Funeral is arguably the best cmc3 mill card out there, but I have a personal vendetta against it, as it's screwed me over many times. Also, It hits 4 lands, really quickly, fairly consistently. It just doesn't pack the punch that it needs to about 50% of the time. I love the card, but I don't think it's quite worth it...Specifically wicked:You've got some of the best mill advice I've ever seen in that comment. Thank you. However, I didn't make this deck as a speedmill deck (although I guess it is....) It's just kinda a deck with EVERYTHING (good) that mills... But this is diffidently going to impact how I build mill in the future. (also, Tome Scour is already in there.)Thanks again to both of you!-TheVanished
Thanks for the suggestion!
Thats actually a decent card... but idk if there's room mainboard. I'll switch it for terminus in the sideboard for now.
Lands is a tough decision, I guess it could use some play testing to figure out how many is good, but in a mono-colored deck, I run 22 because you don't have to worry about mana-fixing, thus you need to draw fewer lands.
Lately, I've been considering switching Take Down in the sideboard for Fatal Push, now that black is in the deck. Thoughts?
Yeah, I really need to do that... I'm just lazy. I'll get around to it soon.
I added Anointed Procession (switched for Padeem), but I prefer the idea of killing them with a lot of Thopters over just winning because I have 8 of them, so I put Mechanized Production into the sideboard, but thank you for the suggestions! I don't know how I missed Anointed Procession...
That makes sense
I would just stick with 4 anticipate honestly. Anticipate is good enough. Contigency plan is decent, the only problem is it puts things in your graveyard, or you have to keep it. While that seems nice, and it is for certain decks, its not ideal for this deck.
Anticipate+Magma Spray. Magma Spray x2Magma Spray + Overwhelming Denial (surge)Borrowed Hostility + any 2/1 dropThere are many ways to do it, take your pick.
I mean, it might work, it's just a little slower than other possible spells you could use.
You can't imprint Repulse onto the scepter, it has a cmc of 3
Looks pretty good, the only suggestion I have, is that Borrowed Hostility is KEY to this combo. It means you can Drake/Fling combo up to 3 turns faster, and it makes the TiTi/Fling combo an insta-kill instead of leaving them with 6 hp. You NEED this card at 4 copies. I would drop a Censor (nice card, too weak late game tho, and you need as much value as possible) and a Reduce//Rubble (there are better cards) for 2 more Borrowed. Also, I'd personally prefer Anticipate over Tormenting Voice, just because you don't have to discard, and you can pick what you get. Also, remember that TiTi puts all of your things back in your hand when he flips, even if you don't mean to flip him, so watch out that that doesn't ruin you.
You only need 1 of each combo piece for the combo to work, plus multiple paradox engines is kinda useless, so thats my reasoning for dropping it to a 2- of
101-120 of 233 items
