So yes and no, good sir. Yes, you will eventually have to pay the echo cost HOWEVER, it can be flicked out and back in, skipping echo. In theory, you may not have to pay the Echo cost for 2 or 3 turns. Or NEVER pay the casting cost if you come upon another Settler/Riders. Just let him be sacked and play another copy of him.

But yes, I absolutely should of not said "game assumes you paid echo cost."
Thank you Viagrasaurusex.

"Your Avalanche Riders blinks out instead of paying echo, then blinks back in to destroy more lands."

Please explain this one :)

I love Unshackled! Consider Maralen of the Mornsong with Unshackled.
Opponent can't draw and receives 10 damage every upkeep!

Sure thing, young sir.
Is it EDH? I suck at EDH.
But I will go check it out, for sure.

Spore counters...nice. Guy back in 1998, I think it was, used Spore counters to win Mtg tourneys. He made it to the Final 4, if not winning it all, I can't remember.

Fists of Ironwood...especially catered for a deck like this, nice!

I found a deck with no likes/comments, of yours, so I could beg for a look at one of my decks:

With that said, the deck has my like...but this is one of those decks that makes you say, "Why the hell doesn't it have more likes?!"

Lol. Okay, yeah, that makes more sense. :)

What do you know about Flicker/Blinking cards? I just found them...and they intrigued me...any advice on this one is much appreciated.

I am very interested in what you could do with "flicker" and "blink"
It is the tricky stuff that seems right up your alley.

It is the semi-finished product.
Again, when you get a chance, any advice would rock.

There. The deck is done...as far as starting to test it.
Took out the upkeep cards....all but 1.

Did add Parallax Wave.
I think it has huge potential as both flicking/blinks for your Settler/Riders.
It serves several purposes, and I love cards, in my decks, that serve more than one purpose.

1) It protects your creatures
2) It flickers/blinks back in your land destroyers, activating their "when enter battlefield" abilities.
3) It keeps removing opponent's best creatures.
4) Flicker it to keep redoing the Fade Counters.
5) It gets me an Akroma for 2 mana!

Hell, speaking of upkeep...how did you like me adding in Ill Omen and the Energy Storm? Again, those cards look like stuff you would love!

A link to my second version.
You WILL LOVE it Puschkin, look at the upkeep cost of Parallax Wave. So...use it to exile my creatures and my opponent creatures. Then use Flicker. My pirates flicker back in requiring my opponent to sack stuff.

And Puschkin, I am in a rush, but agree about the Raze and mana ramp.

Why I included Raze though, was the Flagstones of Trokair. I could nuke my Flagstones with Raze. Opponent would lose land, and I would get a Plains for my troubles.

But will probably take Raze out and go with a color producing Myr.

I have some old Portal cards like that (i think the Settler is from the second portal)...
I have one copy of Sylvan Tutor from Portal. It is going for over 20 dollars a piece.

What is ridiculous is some of the Third Portal expansion...the one with horsemanship...some of those cards are over 100 dollar a piece.

Mainly as Puschkin said...there weren't meant to be legal/to be reprinted.
I remember back in 2000, Portal didn't even have a price guide.
So if you had a Portal Wrath of God...you couldn't even find a price to put value on it.
Back in 2005 they finally allowed Portal cards to be in tourneys.

I am seeing Accelerated Mutation being one card that works with Egotist.
Aether mutation is another.
Ancient Ooze.

Definitely would work with a wizard deck splashed with green.

Is he actually a 2/2? lol. Yeah, he is amazing! *sarcasm*

I bet though, some genius nerd, has figured a way to use Scornful Egotist.

If you get a moment, can you check out a deck of mine?
Definitely not budget...but I like the idea when I see the cards.
The deck is private, and has yet not been posted.

Any advice would rock!!!

I want to make 3 versions of flicker/blink cards: this is the first version. Land destruction.

I want to use the same flicker/blink cards to do a Pirate sack deck.
And one more deck with White Control.

Anyways,
