A tourney is coming up on friday for me, so in that I'll retry using Contested War Zone. It might just be a fluke that I kept getting screwed over by it, so I want to be sure.

It's been an annoying pipe dream scenario with that card. On one hand, yeah, it can help out. However, because it adds colorless, and requires mana in order to work, it can also really screw me over. I've found that the problems it gives me occur more often than the times it aids me. =/
I need the Opal for the mana required to cast both the Pest and Bushwhacker kicked.
Holy piss this deck can win on turn 2. I did it last night. Opening hand: Ornithopter, Mountain, Mox Opal, Signal Pest, Kuldotha Rebirth, Goblin Bushwhacker, Arid Mesa. Turn 1: Play Ornithopter, Mountain, Mox Opal. Tap Mountain to play Signal Pest. Now with metalcraft tap Mox Opal to play Kuldotha Rebirth...Sac the Ornithopter and put in 3 goblin tokens (1/1's). Turn 2: Draw another Signal Pest. Play and use Arid Mesa for a Mountain (duh). Tap a Mountain to play the second Signal Pest. With metalcraft active again tap the second Mountain and the Mox Opal to play Goblin Bushwhacker kicked. Signal Pests each become 2/1's (Goblin Bushwhacker + Battle Cry) Goblin Tokens all become 4/1's (Goblin Bushwhacker + both Battle Cry[s]) Goblin Bushwhacker becomes a 4/1 as well (Its own ability + both Battle Cry[s]) 2 x 2 = 4 (Pests) 4 x 3 = 12 (Tokens) 4 x 1 = 4 (Bushwhacker) 4 + 12 + 4 = 20 XD
Sideboard added. Kicks ass when I need it, looks pretty when I don't. =]
It's a maybe because, though great, if I'm making a white aggro deck, especially one with battle cry, turn 5 shouldn't exist.
Wow dude. This deck is really quite well designed. My only suggestion is that 22 lands is pretty high for a deck that drops off at 3 on its mana-curve.
Legend rule. Since Kokusho is a legendary creature, when all 4 of them hit the battlefield, they all send each-other to the graveyard as a state-based action. =]
Red Deck Wins. It's a name for insanely aggressive and fast red decks. Named so because the first ones many years ago were almost completely unbeatable, though they have never been easy to beat, since they're so "in-your-face".
I love Wither so much. This is an interesting "Ded Twist" on it, as I would expect. Have you seen my wither deck? It's B/G, so it's quite a bit different, but it still might give you some ideas to float around. It'd be sweet if phyrexian styled cards worked their way into red in the next set, since that could really do some cool stuff for this deck. (I know it's a long way off, but hey, it's a nice thought).
I bought 2 boxes, went to some prereleases, and won a tourney, where the grand prize was a box and a fat-pack. =]
Grossly over-costed. =/
hahaha, thanks dude. You won't be disappointed =]
Strangely enough, Tainted Æther is...too much sacrificing. I know! Sounds absurd, but it's true!
Wow, cool Cabbaj. That's like a kit to build this deck haha. To be honest with Contested War Zone, it is pretty sweet for what it can do, and of course I always welcome people taking their own interpretations of decks, but for me, that "nip in the ass" was happening way too often in my tests, so I left it out. As to the 19 lands thing, I know it probably looks odd, but it throws the flow of the mana curve right where you want it.
Hehehe, thanks man, glad to see you around a bit more recently. I like the SB ideas, and will probably use most of them. Most of my decks here have 0 cards in the SB either because I never got around to updating them with the actual cards. When I make a deck, I like to play it a few times to really get a feel for how the SB should be set up. I recently took this to a tourney and crushed a JTMS deck with it. The guy, after seeing an original thought beat his 'store bought' standard deck (one of the largest reasons I hate standard) looked at the deck and said, "The **** is this thing?"
When you slap a blade of body and mind onto P-crusader...you have all the first strike evasion you could possibly need. I need to play this deck a bit more to get an idea of which of the two to mainboard and which to sideboard. The problem is, since I made my infect stompy, my friends have been pretty shell-shocked when it comes to infect...so they usually refuse to play "another god damn infect deck". =P
*Sigh* ...Yeah... Changes have been made, and yes, it is an improvement. =P
Wow, thank you man, that's a huge compliment. I hope it goes well for you. =]
