Yeah, those are both great Stompy cards =]

Well, let me first say that for being new to magic, and for taking on a deck type like Stompy, this is pretty excellent. It needs some work, but for a beginner, this is very promising. =] Nature's Claim is the Stompy alternative to Naturalize, so that's great you did that. However, you should just put it as a Sideboard card. Same goes for Hurricane and Asceticism. Harrow is the Stompy alternative of Cultivate, so that's just a simple fix. For most other decks/deck-types, Cultivate IS the better choice, but in Stompy, Harrow's the only choice =] I don't think you need 4 Momentous Falls, 2 is probably a better number. Blanchwood Armor is excellent, and so is TImbermaw for it's synergy (and with Primal Bellow). I once had an argument with a buddy of mine over the fact that Timbermaw is Stompy. He said it isn't, I said it is. I won. =] I'm not a fan of the Basilisk Collar. It just doesn't fit and isn't very Stompy...plus it puts you at 61 cards. Last bit of advice is that you should try to see if you can get in a few more mana dorks like Llanowars, etc. Hope I helped! =]
Yeah...As I say in the disclaimer on my Pure Evil deck, you should REALLY try not to overuse these kinds of decks... However, an Extraction vs Extraction match-up is honestly one of the most intense/epic MTG moments ever.
It's Counterbalance with Sensei's Divining Top (thus Countertop). You use the Top to change what the top card of your library is, and often enough, this allows you to continuously counter the opponent's more crucial cards, thus putting their "tempo" and game-plan into lockdown. Countertop-Braids combo is that you add in Braids so that they have to sacrifice what little things they've played, or more likely, their lands since you will keep countering their lower-cost spells with countertop. In addition, if they ever do manage to get something in play, it will most likely be sacrificed before it can be put to use.
Hey, for some reason that link doesn't work for me. =/ What is the deck called? That way I can find it on your profile.
Upcoming list is brutal right now...lowest one is at I think 32 likes! Sheesh...=/
I'm not a big fan of Llanowar Reborn to be honest. I have seen it used to...decent effect in a graft deck, but never more that that. It's not really worth the speed loss it gives. Oran is totally worth it even though it comes in tapped...just a shame it doesn't work for this deck. =/
I like this deck...it seems to me to have about enough control to stall the game long enough until you can start playing angels. I really don't like Avenging Angel, it'll just flat-out slow you down. (a method of control with some control decks is putting a card back on top of your library...just sayin'). If you can find a spot for them, and if you think your life-gain is consistent enough, I would suggest Serra Ascendant. It isn't technically an angel, but it's a great one-drop that "turns into" an angel (sorta). Hope I helped! =]
Well you should always strive for a 60 card deck, but every once in a while it's not the end of the world if you go over =]
Uhm...I don't have it in because I made this deck as a more casual/fun based deck. Recently I've wanted to make a deck or two that was a little subdued for playing against newer players and/or casually/for fun. My B/W knight deck "Checkmate" was made for a similar reason. I can't have JUST soul-crushing OP decks right? =P
Hehehe don't mention it. I would keep the Garruks in, because if (when) you put in Oran-Rief, you can abuse his + ability with it like crazy. The thing about a land like that is that even though it comes in tapped, it REALLY pays off fast...especially in a token deck such as yours. Oh, and I wouldn't bother with either MotWH or QfR...both are just too slow. =]
Wtf does that even mean? I'm taking it as a compliment hahaha =]
Sure, I'll take a look, thanks for the compliment =] And yes, you can have a deck larger than 60. The thing is, even a 61 card deck is, by and large, slower than a similar deck of 60 cards. This deck is almost completely for casual play/fun and so the 65 size is no problem for me. That, and as I explained, the deck thinning I do with this is so intense I still sometimes come close to milling myself haha =P
Oh, and it's obvious that you didn't cheat this up. Sometimes, a deck just rockets up, I've seen it before and this is just another example. =] Plus, who doesn't love smashing face with a massive amount of wolves? =] One thing I'd suggest is to maybe drop down to just 2 Howl of the Nightpack and 2 Overwhelming Stampede so that you can have a smoother mana curve and put in 4 Llanowar Elves for extra mana boost. The other thing I'd suggest is to try and get your hands on at least...2 Oran-Rief, the Vastwood(s). They would be great in this deck. FINALLY, I think you should just run Naturalize in the sideboard, and in their place put either Primal Bellow or Might of the Masses (MoTM may be the better of the two in this deck with all the token making) =]
Wow, well done dude. Congratz and welcome to the top list =] (We have free drinks in the back =P)
Very nice dude, one suggestion I have for you is that you can easily afford to run just 16 lands. With all your cards costing just 1 mana, 20 is a hell of a lot of lands.
Good. How has it been performing for you? Other than spewing out a god damn assload of lands? =P
Yeah, I knew it would be just on the edge of usable and not, sucks it fell on the side of not =/
It prevents all damage on them. Their toughness is there for other game mechanics and also because -1/-1 counters or something similar will kill them. I love the swans, people who have played against this deck before still have moments where they attack me out of habit and forget what the Swans do. They often kill themselves when they do that. =]
I'm baaaack =]
