Well damn, all this running around X-mas shopping has scrambled my noodle...I thought I put those in. Well, all the same, thanks for reminding me! =]

I also have a Defender deck, and let me tell you from experience...Mill decks are a nightmare. So maybe look into at least sideboarding some defense against that.

Alright, I did some trials with 4 of them and you're right...It works better. Making the change =]

4 Frosty the Pwnman might be too many...Perhaps try just 2 or 3 max. Also, I'm not a big fan of Calcite Snapper (but I know some people swear by them, so that's just my two cents).

Otherwise nice control deck. I agree that U/W and U/B are like apples and oranges. I've tried making an Esper control, but it's like the gods of MTG forbid it. There's no way to effectively mash all the stuff you want from both sides into one deck ={

Aside from a few cards (The 'walkers, Sylvan, Archers, and maybe Copperhorn) this indeed could be called Stompy. A weird-as-hell Stompy that has a more defensive side...but one all the same =P

Trust me when I tell you, the 1 life loss from Piranha Marsh is not worth the staggering speed loss you have from using them. =]

I'd like to add, for the record, that River of Tears is my favorite land of all time. Amazing, haunting artwork, excellent versatility, great flavor text, and perfectly appropriate name for how I use it. =]

Well as always dude your comments are greatly appreciated. I completely forgot about Dash Hopes! I have a foil one too! =} You're correct, way more fun than Memory Sluice!

When I get an idea for a deck, my mind is flooded with all the cards that could be in some way used in it and/or associated with it. Then, I sort of..."argue"...with myself and figure out how I want it to look. Then I sort of play it out in my head and make some final mental adjustments and then toss it together. Final step, aside from maybe printing some proxies out so I don't have to constantly switch cards between my deck, is to load it up here. Once I get an idea for a deck, it usually takes me about 5-15 minutes to make. =]

And of course, I'm always happy to help out. =]

This deck is actually an aggro-based Tempo, which I think works better for the idea of Tempo, since the aggro aspect is often another factor in throwing off the opponent's tempo. So in reality, this deck doesn't want to prolong the game at all, much the contrary. =]

I do =]

You only have red in here for the Bolts...If you took them out for something else more controlly or whatever and took this deck into being just B/W I think it would be much faster.

Sweet. Yeah I have them in there as blockers that can do ~some damage~ but then they actually become my main offensive forces once I get Doran out. Also, the way this deck works, I have never had a problem dumping out the exact treefolk I want at any given moment =]

I don't think people realize just how hard a 36 creature deck actually is. They're a lot tougher to do than one might originally think. Take any one of my Stompy decks, my sacrifice deck, or any of my other aggro decks...they're all well under 36 creatures. Even my "Creature-Stomp", a creature-heavy stompy, is 8 creatures short of 36!

Seriously, if there's a reason to like this deck, that's a big one.

My buddy once said "Vintage is why Orphans exist", so this kind of back that statement up. This is soul-crushing...

Hey, odd request...could you take a look at my latest deck, "Intereo In Obscurum". The damn thing is at 49 likes...the suspense is killing me!

Yes, and no. Kalonian Behemoth is in a list of cards called "Fat-stompy". They're above the normal restrictions Stompy has on mana costs (max 4-5), but are undoubtedly Stompy in nature. These guys are sometimes still included in a Stompy if they work well enough and it's truly worth it to the player (but never more than 2 are added).

I have a deck called "Chunky", which is not really a stompy deck, but what I would make if "Fat-stomp" was a real Stompy sub-type.

Hmmmm. It looks to me like you want this to be part WW and part control. That's fine, but if that isn't your goal then we need to do some fixes.

First of all, do you own any Silence or Emeria, the Sky Ruin? Also, maybe look into adding Hyena Umbra. Hyena Umbra with Sun Titan essentially makes an unstoppable titan. =]

Sure. The idea here is that with many of the Faeries having "Flash", and with how many of their abilities mess with the opponent's ability to play things/do certain actions, the deck forces the game into a "Tempo".

These decks are REALLY frustrating, as I can attest to having played against them. They make you flustered, and feel...rushed. You seriously just start making dumb mistakes because of how much you've been pushed "out of rhythm". I can't really explain it better than that without you actually playing against one of these.

The flavor text of Pestermite perfectly says it -- "The fae know when they're not wanted. That's precisely why they show up." =]
