I'm not really that great with standard, I know the cards in it, but I can't quite seem to ever place where the restrictions are quite right. Same for extended. I've tried numerous times to enjoy standard, and as of yet nothing. I mostly like older cards, and the increased efficiency legacy and vintage offer.

I've beaten a lot of decks with my newest Nether Void Deck, I was loving it. I didn't think Survival should have been banned, in fact since it was banned, I think you're right. It's more dangerous than Survival IMO.
I like it, but being the kind of person I am, I think I'd rather see Daze here than Snare. I've always played against the landstill user, and I've never really had any problems in my decks from snare, so perhaps I'm biased by how I build. I do love the idea of Landstill though, and this is unique for me as I always wind up seeing UW/x, so I'm not quite fully sure how to react. I think I find BUG more appropriate, and it runs my favourite piece of tech from old Dirt, so the playset of Deed alone would have gotten a plus one from me. Only change I think I'd make is trading Smother for a second Dismember, or maybe since it's me a third Loam.
Zoo, with Price in the main list. Sneaky, I like it. I really like this a lot, it's big zoo yeah, but it's smooth like sligh zoo and stompy zoo. Kudos for that alone, and then more for the techy sideboard. Even for you it's interesting, but it works as usual.
Yeah, I guess that's true. I guess I'm overly focused on counters right now, after the joy of discovering Mana Drain. And yeah, I'll be checking them out in a bit. I'm on the nTh level of insomnia now, haven't got good sleep all year... I've got to the point where I'm watching My Little Pony to try and stave off madness, and it's not working lol
I think the only cards I've owned that will always make me smile to play, are Memnarch, and any form of counter. Memnarch just makes me smile when I nab something in casual magic, especially planeswalkers XD
I've only really wanted black lotus in a hand if tezz was there, and even then as bait. I find more often than not, I'd just rather have Lotus Cobra, or a Claim. Hell, maybe even a Recoup in the 60, so I could improve my Gift situation game one.
I started when Rise of the Eldrazi was released, so I it took me a while for me to make anything I'd call good. I forever have a place in my heart for some cards because of it, and have always made decks in a style evolved from my original deck, so I know how you feel.
Indeed. I'd like for competitive vintage to be possible without it, but it really is just that powerful... If any card other than an ante card should be banned in vintage, I think it's safe to say we can all agree which one it would be... I've actually never found myself caring for Black Lotus, it's just a piece of acceleration. I know it's the most powerful one-for-one acceleration in the game, but really I've been thinking about taking it out. And maybe a mind scuptor, it's dangerous yeah, but Tezzeret just plain wins the game.
I can seriously understand why, it's the most dangerous hard counter in the game, and one of the most accessible for the kicker! If I could assemble the pieces of this thing, I have a strange feeling they would ban mana drain from use. Much like Nether Void usually finds itself in peoples play groups.
It might wind up tournament quality, but I'm not sure what route I want to take yet. I suggest using the base site for mtg salvation and looking at the spoilers for m12 for a jumpstart. I've been thinking perhaps B/r, or Grixis, but no decision yet.
The one with Smallpox and Call to the Grave is going to be standard yeah, I've not decided much other than I want it to douche around with my friends who play standard. Also, it will work well with my friends trio of Zombie decks for casual play. I'm really looking forward to this, I use so many fun tricks it's barely even funny
I probably will buy from them, simply because with the reprinting of Call to the Grave and Smallpox I know what I'll be doing(hint: it isn't pretty for the others) XD And Bob is just a boss wherever he is. I've been reviewing my view of cards, and I've found I place Bob in the top five most broken cards in all of MtG. However, I don't count Yawgmoth's Will in that list, as I think that really it truly is the most broken card ever printed.
Tezzeret's Gambit is good in a LOT of decks, and I think this would qualify. I don't think it's ideal, but it's better than an Ingenuity.
Pretty much anything that's a one-of other than Tezzeret is restricted yeah >_> I don't really care for standard, but EDH has quickly become one of my favourite formats. So I support that. Vintage is NOT a format I suggest delving into, but it is fun. The cost is insane, so I only use them on workstation <_<
I really just don't know how to respond to this. It's neat, but it's unstable. My mind... it is now broken...
No Surgical Extraction or Duress/Inquisition of Kozilek/Despise? Saaaad panda I've always been a sucker for using selective discard, so perhaps it's my bias, but I find it's always handy. Especially with cards like Surgical Extraction and Extirpate, then it's just dangerous.
Don't see life drain very often these days, but something to think about for amusement would be Sun Titan. Recursion with life drain is always funny.
The Golem wouldn't be affected by haste, only the creature brought in directly from Mimic Vat gets haste. So the Golem would still suffer from summoning sickness. Neat standard deck WhisperingMage, looks like it'd be fun.
Oh, and Meddling Mage does stop generals as long as it survives. It says they can't cast the named card, so unless their general is a land(???) they can't use it.
