This is actually pretty sick, you've managed what every charbelcher builder has been trying to do for so long... Now you need to take this to a tourney, see how well Joebelcher does at that level.

Seriously, this is a major accomplishment for this deck.

I can see why you'd like it, I'm just a scrooge about my mana

I know right? It's kind of awesome to me at the least, granted my last deck to get front page was almost entirely off of our conversation, but hey!

I prefer my Sparkmages to it still, they're reusable, and I can equip them with basilisk collars for extra douche :D

Though that is a good use of the pod I guess, it's just right now I think the mage is still a better option.

It's interesting, but why is it running mortapod? I mean yeah it's neat, but it's two mana per ping.

I also like how you've got your gideon in here, he adds a lot to naya it seems to me.

Using Matthew Hazard's list as a starting point for your twist eh?

I didn't know! I just agreed to a quick game with a deck they'd been working on, and WHAAAAAAM!

That game lasted till they hit turn three... Past that point there was pretty much no way I could pull that together. It was a blitzkrieg on a glass cannon, and I pray it never happens to it again.

I like it, it's extraction with a toolbox aspect from the transmute.
And with Circu your counters are even more painful than the usual, albeit you're paying for them, but still!

I think it would be slightly beneficial to put more in the three slot though, perhaps the clique, mind funeral, or cemetery puca could be of use.

I've gone up against a circu extraction with some of my more tourney geared decks, I lost with my STORM against it. They ramped him out turn two I think, and I just got shut the hell down.
Here's a little chain of evil.
Doomsday>Daze>FoW>FoW, the daze removed LED and the FoW hit another of my doomsdays. Then they extirpated my lotus petal, and lobotomized me by hitting my wish with circu... :/

Perplex, counter or lose hand... Add on the fact that you're extracting TWO cards, and it's well worth using three mana for a counterspell to me.

It searches for bitter ordeal, pox, and fate spinner to boot, so I think perplex fits well. It's a great toolbox piece for this deck since it searches three of the most dangerous cards, and can serve as a naaasty counter.

Well, I did it finally. I made a deck using the fatespinner(albeit not in the prison style I had hoped for), and it was a countertop bant to boot! Granted it didn't use Natural Order, but it's pretty fun so far.

Also, congratulations on hitting front page again! Seems to be a deck to deck occurrence now, but ah well.

I'm just thinking on how I would play it, but using it to wipe both fields AGAIN, and then playing bitter ordeal would crush somebody. There's three bloodghasts, and three bitterblossom, and since a bitterbomb counts BOTH graveyards... That's a massive field being wiped, meaning a masssssssive bitterbomb.

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner, I've been a bit busy lately.

First off, I have to say that this is one of the strangest/most epic mono-blue lockout's I've ever seen. Seriously, this is kind of tripping me out.

Secondly, I'd think about changing out preordain with Brainstorm, and throwing in some fetch lands. I can't say how many times it being instant has saved me, have you ever responded to a thoughtseize by brainstorming to put a win condition on top of your library? It's an amazing feeling.

My third thought is that perhaps you could also make use of isochron scepter, it'd help stabilize you during the early game(recurring that boomerang or counterspell every turn =D)

Again, I think this is pretty neat, and I hope it remains enjoyable for you to play.

I'm liking it dude, it's got a healthy amount of counters, and a supply of killspells that's perfect for the current meta in extended.

I think I'm going to use this as a template for a revamp of my grixis(I haven't touched on it since scars), which leads me to again say; one of the best grixis lists I've ever seen

Now here's red used in a way I can understand for once!

Grixis control is fun to play, but I see a LOT of lists for it that make no sense, in fact I think yours is the best one I've seen yet.

I think a third mana leak could be helpful though, it's probably just me, but I like grixis to run at five counters.

I like the idea of B/r pox, but I've never really been good with red. And I can see Blightning being a massive pain to anybody who goes against it, so if it's on here I'll very gladly check it out.

Nice, it's making me really want to use the fatespinner in a deck... I think that's going to be the project I use the empty deck for.

I didn't think I'd like 'goyf in a poxtraction at first, but after testing this I can barely see a reason NOT to run him.

Really great deck, but I again question; Why in the nine rings of HELL do you use the River of Tears?

Fish usually sees me do something like this.

-3 Duress
-2 Dark Ritual
-1 Lake of the Dead
-1 Bloodghast

+3 Thoughtseize
+2 Snuff Out
+2 Pithing Needle

Others just depend, since there are so many ways to play counter control in blue.

Congratulations on another front page deck surewhynot, and I have to say I still find this just fascinating.

Using suspend does indeed mess with the control players head, I found that the easiest way to deal with suspend is to use an extraction deck; Isochron works well with clockspinning :D

Hmmm, me thinks I'm going to have to use the mossbridge... Just to epic not to have in some form of reanimator.

I've NEVER enjoyed playing against enchantress decks, I've always despised them... They prove such an annoying matchup for soooo many decks I make, that I would like to carry a playset of back to nature with me, just in case I wind up seeing an enchantress at the shop/tourney.

However, I respect them in that they're not as easy to build as it seems they are to play(just going off of how yall make it look), and that this is a unique build. I give as much props as I can to an enchantress player, and say this is one of the few I'd actually like to see in operation.
