A new green card "life's legacy" lets you sacrifice a creature and draw cards equal to it's pow! Here's my prototype: http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/lifes-legacy-wall-of-blood/

Hmm! Cut one lure, then replace the 3 other "ordinary" lure with turntimber basilisk, it will interact better with mwonvuli beast tracker than lure does, plus by thinning creatures you increase the chance of drawing lands. Also the turntimber can be enchanted by surging might. Then add 1 more deadly allure, and figure out a way to get the room for some mutavaults, so you can have a last method of destruction if you own critters get removed somehow. I wouldn't exchance might of oaks with phytoburst, I'd rather remove it and use stonewood invocation :) When you go for the kill you just use that nice little card and your opponent won't be able to counter or "sword" their way out of it.
A talking can of spam!? Now I've seen it all :D
Aha! That's nothing against my "Transmute knighty stuff into Cans"-spell!And before you atempt to answer, remember that YOU are also a knighty thing, and should thus be a can of... *spam* Muahaahaaa...
I have considered him with bloodbraid elf, but have had a hard time figuring out how to keep the deck RG when these two are the main focus! Cascading into a beasttracker and then drawing a monsie is good cardadvantage.
"Hello there gauntlet! Let me introduce you to my friend, the can opener"
Hey. I'm not involved with the dead!!! "Wicked" is an entirely mental state with me...
No problem! How well does the beast tracker perform?
We two have already met I think?, or have I seen your name in a burnpost?
HMM! Surging might needs 4 of to work the best :D It can be really deadly when it hits, but if your opponent has removal (most tourneygoers have) you will need to spread the enchantments out on several creatures, to ensure that you wont lose everything to a stupid removal-card.
http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/wdms-gr-legacy-deck/ So far it's under reconstruction, which is why there are three of every card, as this is an excelent way to see what is lacking 1 more or can be cut down or removed. I'm testing the deck against some testdecks as well as taking it to tournaments to see what may be changed. So far the major changes are done with the sideboard until I've tested the maindeck enough to see what happens when I change it...
I mainly comment on mill or ask my betters on advice on stuff I'm researching. Usually when I get within the "domain" of someone else I take a peak on the stuff they've built. I was surprised that I havent seen any of your work before (Since Iv'e been searching around for BG deathtouch) but now that I have, you are "marked" by my weird presence :D
Well, my reasoning is to have 9 green manasources that can get birds/llanowars/other 1cc manasources to work, and the only possible way to do that is through simian + cantor. Hell, if it as my deck I would make sure I had 9 1cc manaproducers as well :D
I once made something close to this, but at an earlier time in magic, around the printing of "skitter of lizards" It was very fast. Later I made a painter/12 blastcards deck, and somewhere along the line I focussed on magus of the moon and bloodmoon too. To make a long story short I ended up with a deck based on bloodbraid elves, ancient tomb, simian spirit guide and elvish spirit guide, rip-clan crasher and boggart ram-gang, and I am currently updating it for competitive play in legacy... I'm going through at least a 100 cards at the moment, and this night only got 2 hours of sleep because I couldn't let go of it all. I spent most of the night on building a hate-archive on dredge and truename UW-blade, which is as far as I have gotten. I will be going through ALL legacy-decks that have been played actively (35 archetypes with many subtypes) while making this hate archive, and it is a wast project... I am very thorough and go through all magic series when researching like this, for example I have found 12 creature cards to "break the bridge" in dredge, spanning from starving rusalka to bottlegnomes (these two migh also be used against storm by lifegaining and beatdowning at the same time) In the end I will be puzzling it all together and use the hate as creatively as possible, like using combust in sideboard against stoneforge mystic, painter (most say blue when playing it) and reanimate (steelwing sphinx) and other crazyness. I'd like input on it all somewhere in the process, and will make a link for you later to study the current design which is a core-design that have worked well several years ago and still has some bite in it (Turn 3 killed someone, and also killed someone with urza's rage despite him having a 13 counter jace the mindsculptor in play. I pulled it off by using a magma jet to get jace to 11, saw a bloodbraid elf and urza's rage and knew that I had the mana for it as ensnaring bridge was in play, so I put bloodbraid on top and he chose to put it on the bottom :D The rest of that game was rather fun!)
Well, from past experiments with mana (Not my simulations :D) I know that if you want to be on the safe side with a reliable number of cards that supply mana it's 9 as a minimum, so adding just a single wild cantor might make this deck perform better :D This is something that can be tested if someone is willing enough to run many tests! Only question is what to pull out? (Oh and this topic made me think of the old 10-mana curves that I posted about in phyrexia, the ones that the simulation actually made with 4-5 4ccs in them! It was pretty radical!)
Noone has won tourneys and reported it, so I made the logical guess that noone has done either :C There was a bunch of talented deckhalves and I remember trying out a hybrid between tinfish and my death shadows shadow part, which looked promising, but it was not modern legal which was my main focus at the time. My own best hybrid BG with deathtouch wasn't good enough either, to win in modern, though it did some awesome stuff... (At it's peak it got 9 points at one tourney)
You might want to experiment with surging might in your deck. It stacks the same way as cascade does, so you might be able to slip one or two surges through a counterdeck with luck. It also surges surprisingly often if you have a minimum of fetchtype cards. http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/gbdeathtouch-modernlegacy/
Am I missing something, or have you all missed out on wild cantor? It will enable simian spirit guide to be filtered into green so that and elf or bird can be played and mana will be far easier to access...
Well, the other fans dumped it after a while, and my own projects are put in the background! But feel free to add one and Ill archive it! The main problem with the concept was that noone stumbled on some competitive halves that could make the concept jump into it's destined future. My own halves are well researched, but I'm to riggid at constructing stuff because I refrain from the generally used cards and use underdog stuff...
KNIGHTOHEHOKEYPOKEY: I already make an exception with bloodbraid elf, but that's another deck :D
