My most expensive card can be played for free, that makes a big difference.

damn, that's pretty agressive. I drew a few sample hands and I can't complain :) I'm not big of the special lands in the landbase without some way to recycle swamps but it's a cool deck. Hope the other guy plays swords to plowshares or else he's in for a world of pain.

I plan to win before I have 12 mana

Is it multiplayer as well or a more 1 on 1 version? I like the legacy version of this deck with counterbalance and I tried to port something simular to the multiplayer format.

Yeah, that might help. I could probably drop 1 Thopter Foundry, 1 Thirst for knowledge and the edict for 3 Enlightened tutors which should provide better consistency (with all the one offs the deck might play pretty awkward). What I don't want to do is go over 80 cards and the numbers in the deck are already stretched pretty thin.

I guess gifts ungiven would be ok to with Myr Retriever, Academy Ruins and Crucible of Worlds but again its hard to fit in.

thanks for the advice though, I had not thought about using enlightened tutor.

I dunno, I just made it for the challenge. As is the numbers far from optimized. Also you have to pay the cost for an additional combat phase before nature's will triggers which means you won't have enough mana to combo out the turn you play Hellkite Charger. Still have to work around that.

is this one of those

you play Elvish Piper and try to equip it with Whispersilk Cloak
I terminate it in response
You don't do anything for the next 10 turns kind of decks?

I don't see why, people play a lot of removal where I play and a scepter is the first thing to go. I would be lucky to use it once. Momentary blink on a scepter just doesn't bring a lot to the table. If I ran scepters I would need more targets to imprint for it to work which means altering my deck conciderably.
I like the tempo of the deck as it is, scepters would slow me down.

you don't need spellbook in a deck like this, if you can't play your cards fast enough so you have to discard them it means you don't run enough mana accelerators.

LOL, opposition is the best card in that deck by far you guys are suggesting taking it out. this is just sad

That's a nice idea, thanks!! The main reason I played arcane denial over counterspell is because it's easier to cast in a 2 color deck. Countersquall (or the better old school version Undermine, which I would prefer) is harder to play but I do like the synergy with bloodschief. I'll test it.

I've conciderd that but as I'm not running that many creatures the bitterblossom serves a dual purpose. It provides me with blockers (obviously) but also creates free attackers in case I'm playing a guy with a lot of spot removal. Flying might not be unblockable but it's the next best thing, and that with free to equip equipment like Grafted Wargear and Cloak and Dagger makes bitterblossom a really good addition to the pressure this deck puts on my opponent.

I only drop Mesmeric Orb the turn I have 3 counters on Bloodchief Ascension and I have opponents with tapped land. This results in an immediate kill or close to one. This deck is not about milling and if I'm the one that gets milled by Mesmeric Orb it means I'm loosing anyway.
The deck is meant to hit hard and fast with equipped unblockable creatures and finish off with Bloodchief and possibly mesmeric. This deck wants a short game.

Looks like you don't really have a lot of solutions and you don't play a lot of carddraw either (which should be your primary strength). How do you win?Have you tested it against other EDH decks? I guess it works best in one on one games and doesn't do to well in multiplyer.

Seems to me like I just have to krosan grip your scepter and kill those cobra's and your deck doesn't do so much. Am I overlooking something? Looks very fragile to me.

Ninjitsu creature are indeed great for this kind of deck. I used to play Okiba-Gang Shinobi, he's just nasty. I'll put him in.
Blastoderm isn't a problem as I can block with Cavern Harpy and take it back to my hand for 1 life Or I can block with any of my creatures and use momentary blink to rescue them from dying and reuse this come in play effects. Dealing with creatures is easy for a deck like this, dealing with burn is a different story :)

Thanks Didley: I swapped the Identity Crysis for Necrogenesis. It's good against bloodghast, and it's great to supply Behemoth Sledge with creatures to equip it on.

You're a bit low on land to support your mana curve

what do you do when you play against a mono colored deck like vampires, mono green, white weenie, RDW that is very difficult to color screw? What happens when you have no Treasure Hunt or treasure hunt just hits the next card and you are left topdecking land after land after land?
Your strategy just doesn't seem realistic to me. You don't have enough creatures, you don't have a good win condition, you lack draw options, you have to much land.

Thanks for the input. I am building this to replace my tournament Jund list though and my choices rely heavily on what is currently played. The behemoth sledge is the best card in the deck, it makes every creature a thread. The malakir with protection white and flying is also a very important beater and blocker. I'll concider your suggestions while testing though.
