Even if jace beleren draw's you only one card it means they dedicate resources to kill it giving your control deck more time to get the advantage. That and Sun Titan can bring your Jace back and draw you a card immediatly. Sun Titan is the main reason I would play Jace Beleren.

Isn't Jace Beleren better in this deck then Jace, Memory Adept or is Jace Beleren no longer standard (I don't really follow rotations)?

Arcane denial is better then counterspell by far in a 2 color combo deck.

- Garruk could easily go down to 2, you want him midgame as card draw engine when you have a big guy out.
- Grand Abolisher doesn't do much for the deck, it's just a bear
- Equipment would be nice, it makes Crusader crazy good, makes mid game birds useful, etc... Run 1 or 2 swords.

Aside from that I think it's a very nice build.

I would drop

4x Braid of Fire
2x Leyline of Punishment
4x Iron Myr

for burn, for instance

4xLightning Bolt
4xFireblast
2xGrim Lavamancer or 2xChain Lightning

Why Arbor Elf? Is it just a replacement for birds or Noble Hierarch?

The mana generated by Braid of Fire is only usable in the upkeep step and is gone by the time you get to the main phase. So again what does it do in this deck without instants that abuse it???

Yes I know that but mono red is far more efficient if it doesn't build in such silly defense tactics unless it's a combo. Your opponent will not lightning bolt with Sundial of the Infinite on the field in your turn if it is not to his benefit, he'll do it in his own turn unless he wants to timewalk which is actually fantastic, weee I get a timewalk for 1 red mana. The only possible reason to run it is if you can do broken stuff with it and I don't see anything broken here. So I ask but apparently Awz doesn't want to explain his deck, so why post it in the first place? what an asshole.

It's for deckthinning, fetchlands extract lands from the deck and decrease the chance of drawing into more land.

the turn end just by itself you know, you don't have to play cards to end it :)

Nice deck. Vendetta should be Snuff Out though. Much better and less painful against Tarmogoyf.

I still don't get how you can justify playing Sundial of the Infinite over useful spells. And no it doesn't save your shrine token. the token just dies in your opponents end step. So why play it?

So, does the above intro mean that this is supposed to be a stompy deck? Scute Mob/8 mana one drop dorks/harrow...really? So does that mean that every green deck is now a stompy deck?

The deck doesn't seem to do much without painter servant so you first have to find him and then hope that he stays around. What makes you think people will not just shoot him down after you play him? It's the only early game target you give them so all their removal will go to Painter Servant.

the days of Phyrexian Negator are over, it's a creature of the past, dead and forgotten. These days the format is filled with one drops and lightning bolts. Playing Phyrexian Negator means loosing.

It's not because you don't play enough multicolored cards that Circu is not effective, it's because it's a singleton format where his effect is mostly lost.
In the games I play I can play Oona all day long, I've milled people for 25 cards the same turn as casting her. Cabal Coffers + Urborg Tomb of Yawgmoth help a lot. Multiplayer games easily go for several hours for 1 game and you end up having 15 lands in front of you easily. At least that's the case where I play.
That said Oona is not my general, I play Sygg, River Cutthroat as general. I didn't suggest him because he requires some specific building but he is a very good general.

If you want more card specific advice post your deck on the forums (I'm Seth there). I like the forum better then this crappy comment system.

Well if you don't play Life from the Loam I would not play Seismic Assault either. So that leaves Devastating Dreams which is a killer all by itself so that's fine.

- Play 24 land instead of 32
- play better land accell like Sakura-Tribe Elder, Cultivate, maybe Viridian Emissary which is nice with Devestating Dreams
- Devestating Dreams has the effect of pumping Countryside Crusher and Terravore before dealing damage to them so it can never kill your own beat sticks and makes them better. all you need to do is win the mana race
- Have you concidered something along the lines of 1xAzusa, Lost but Seeking 4xGreen Sun's Zenith. It would put you ahead when playing that much land. Anything to win the race right...
-Akki Blizzard-Herder are actually pretty good in this deck so you might want to keep them.

good luck
