Card draw is something that I feel a great amount of players misunderstand. Card drawing is necessary if you need a transition from small threats (often associated with early game) to your larger threats (often associated with later game). But, if you have a deck designed to press down large threats right away, then card drawing is just redundant and can even force in mana burden. Card drawing doesn't win games, card drawing with a purpose CAN win games. =]

Have you set them from "Work in Progress" to "Finished Deck"? You need to do that so they show up after you save them.
Unless you can do well with dropping a single land on your second turn, a 3/3 on turn one will give most people a heart attack. This guy doesn't just kill-swap with a Goblin Guide, it kills them! If you feel shakey about the 18 lands, then take out 2 of the 4 Overwhelming Stampedes and put in 2 more lands. Obviously, you need to be careful with Rogue Elephants, but once you get the "feel" for them, you'll see why this great deck style was named after them (sorta). Kavu Predator is an excellent Stompy creature, especially if lifegain is dominant in your meta. As for EH...I've heard arguments for and against him for use in Stompy. I think it really depends on the type of creatures you're running. With this deck...I don't really think he's needed. You have a TON of trample threat in this deck. =]
In a bounce lockdown deck Forgotten Ancient is a powerhouse. By bouncing, you force the opponent to always choose between re-playing things (only to have them bounced again) or deal with it and not play a thing. F.A. gets absolutely HUGE because of this. Then, if the Deep-Sea comes out, you can move the counters over and smash face.
Massive mana storage and acceleration inherent in black allows you to get her out fast and keep bringing her out. Usually she could be brought out fast enough to make the players choose land they need, something else the really need, or their general. Now, from what I've heard it wasn't so much that she was too good (she was a powerful general, but not OP), it was that she wasn't casual friendly...and EDH is a casual style. As for Rofellos, I completely get why he was booted. Holy crap.
Recurring mass life shift in a game style where life shifts are game-changing (due to the inherently slower style of EDH) and re-usability is one of the most powerful tactics.
Holy crap dude, I'm very impressed. You may have found your calling with Artifacts...
Nah man. I can explain why it's finally time for Phyrexia to finish the job. Plus, I will be pissed if I don't get to use that freaky priest.
I didn't have this deck last year...otherwise, I probably would have. =]
Yeah, storm is a glass cannon, so extraction just destroys it. =/
Well, if it makes you feel any better, the kid knew what he was doing. From the sound of it, if you were running a deck with BS and IGG, then you needed those both a LOT, despite IGG not seeming like a prime target to less experienced extractors (hate to brag, but I do pride myself on my knowledge of what to extract and when). Yeah...I bet that crippled the hell out of your deck...sorry =[
The idea in the early game is that I develop what is called "forced card advantage". I force cards out of their hand with various spells like thoughtseize and the like. Perplex is obviously the best for this. Once I'm done with that I can shift the game into literal card advantage and active offense. That's one trick I try to show people. You can design a deck to behave one way for the early game and then shift for late game.
I like it. It looks obnoxious, which is what a tap deck should be =P I would take the Quietus Spikes and the Luminarch Ascensions down to 2 each and then put in 4 Kismets. They're the white version of Frozen Æther, and make your opponent's game slow to a crawl.
Yeah, he was a cool kid actually, and had a lot of good questions. The store owner is happy too, he got a new customer =P We played a couple nice casual games, but no EDH. If there's one thing I still need to master, so to speak, it's definitely EDH...I only have one deck! =[
This deck consistently tears decks apart and/or aggros players to hell and back. It's quickly becoming a new favorite. =] And yeah, the numbers are precisely planned out. =]
You do not need 4 shaman. Period. 3 max. Aside from that, I really like this.
Funny story with that. Today a new kid at my local shop comes in with a list in his hand and starts asking the owner for the various cards. The cards he's naming off sound familiar...so I ask him what the list is and he says "Some guy on a magic website made this crazy deck, I wanna try it." So I extend my hand and say "Surewhynot, at your service." I think the kid shat himself. XD
4 life is nothing to Stompy. One extra mana efficiency as well as one turn faster artifact/enchantment hate is much more powerful than you might think. @ mcphattus, I'll give it a look =]
I'd cast whatever was needed given the situation to lock them down. I almost never Iso my Extirpates =]
thank you =]
