Thanks Raz! I hope you know I like yours too and when I said it was dirt, I meant that it played dirty, which is a good thing. Decks should be as dirty as possible.

Worldspine Worm would be sick for both a token conversion and just plain beatdown. Can you think of what you might combo it with to better exploit its token generation? Is there a way to make it go infinite? I've never seen elderscale Wurm, good choice! It does much the same thing as platinum emperion, with one less p/t in exchange for trample. Unfortunately it does not prevent life loss, platinum emperion prevents both damage and lifeloss. :) Checking out your standard deck, please look at my other decks if you liked this one! :)
I actually only built the sideboard when I posted the deck on here, just to show people some other things they could do with the deck. I honestly don't like consulting cards from outside the game, I like my decks to be self sufficient. that being said, your idea has great merit, it's just not my style.
Great combos! I avoid going infinite on principle (it's a peeve of mine) but that doesn't mean that you have to! Be careful of the avacyn cancelling out your Mikeaus/Trisleton combo. :) I like it, it's certainly different from mine but it's crazy scary, and you've turned setting off DotH in to an instant win with your infinite combos.
You're right, but part of the assumed value of the creature is the versatility its alternate casting cost provides. I have the bringers in the deck for that very reason, and I have hard cast them many times in order to save pipers and DotH for other bigger creatures. Avatar of woe simplifies the combo that I'm about to explain, but I think you are overlooking my angel of despair. It comes in to play and destroys target permanent, not just target creature. With Sheoldred and braids out, I can make it come in to play every turn, that's 3 permanent's destroyed/round! (one of my choice, two of my opponent's choice).
A link would be helpful for those of us who are lazy. :) You're right about platinum Angel, and could also point out Brads, Cabal Minion. I actually just added Platinum Angel recently.
Yeah, I was about to correct my comment about Primeval Light, but I think Calming Verse does a better job. I built my version of the deck. I took out story circle because, with Unlife and Melira, story circle becomes useless. Same thing with Ghostly Prison. I would recommend taking out both of those and just adding a 4th unlife and Melira to get the combo going ASAP, that or two Noble Hierarchs for mana accel and cheap exalted. I def play aggressive, you've seen and commented on my decks, you know it. Your deck looks better suited to single player. In multiplayer, if you take your time once your strat is complete, someone eventually finds a solution to your strategy, shatters it, and you can't usually rebuild it. Anyway, my version of the deck with blue, minus lands, because it's late here and I'm tired. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=382290
For a faster kill throw in Soltari Champion, no need for creatures to attack alone, they'll all get +1/+1. Or, throw in Noble Hierarch and splash some blue for Rafiq of the Many, double strike means double damage and double enchantment destruction. With both in play you'll be hitting for 8 damage/ turn with your pesky 2/2 visionary. If you're already splashing blue, why not have an additional attack phase? Toss down finest hour and do 20 damage/4 permanents per turn! Twenty damage from a single 2/2 in one turn? Yes. Note - The above suggestion would work best in multiplayer where you not only have time to build up, but also need to kill more than just one opponent. Beware people focusing you when they catch on to what you're doing! Make sure you have story circle out first! Also, strong suggestions - Primeval Light and Calming Verse. What's the reason for having the Qasail in there instead of another Soltari? Final verdict: This deck is DIRT! Which is to say, AMAZING AND WILL MAKE YOUR OPPONENTS CRY AS THEY DIE A SLOW AND HUMILIATING DEATH! Now for some self promotion (please make comments or suggestions for my decks, if you have no suggestions, blatant praise will be humbly accepted).: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381549 - Fat Fat Fatty, based around cheating out the biggest most unfair creatures and big creature combos in the game. It wins in multiplayer. Lots. 10 points to whoever suggests the best 40th creature card for the side deck, and I'm challenging people to build similar decks here. - http://forums.mtgvault.com/showthread.php?t=7276 http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381605 - A combo (not infinite) deck that can wipe a multiplayer table just by declaring one attacker, your creatures don't even have to deal combat damage, the table dies during the declare attackers phase. Also has insane lifegain and card draw given the proper card combos. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381596 - Mono black zombes with Deathtouch/First Strike/Swampwalk/Regenerate! Black plays like green! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381965 The most recent variation on my first ever deck, mono green enchantments. With the right cards out, you can play your ENTIRE deck in one turn, then swing and watch your opponents vaporize! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381598 - The only Modern legal deck I've posted thus far, based around 1cmc creatures playing quickly, maybe pumping out a few tokens, then boosting them up with OVERWHELMING STAMPEDE! If you want to see my decks in action, join me for a game of casual FFA on Cockatrice!
Maybe get rid of utopia sprawl and throw in a couple of upwellings? You can tap lands for any unused mana at the end of your opponent's turn and use it on your turn (or save it) AND you can use Braid's mana during your main phase, thus you could run more sorceries if you want!
Need to play 4 spells in a turn? Don't have the mana to do it? You asked for my suggestions, here they are. 1 - STORM This deck asks... nay, begs for STORM CARDS! You're playing mono blue, so your best bets are Brain Freeze, Mind's Desire, and (more in the theme of this deck) Flutter Storm! It's only 1 cmc and you can target the same spell with it multiple times! :) Flutter Storm is the card for you! The instant your opponent plays his second spell of the turn, doesn't matter what it is, what it does, whatever, you play flutter storm targeting it, and your card is FLIPPED! :D Other cards that belong in here: Force of will, Echoing Truth, Daze, Equilebrium, Cryptic Command, and Snap! This brings me to my second suggestion... 2 - ALTERNATE CASTING COSTS A bunch of the cards I suggested have ways of playing them for free, thus building up the spell count for the turn. You could tap and island to float a mana, return that island to your hand, play daze, then use the floated mana to play flutter strom! Your opponent's spell will be countered unless he pays 3 and you flip your creature for just 1 mana! Who da' man? But wait... I'm just not done yet... Oh no... Finally, this deck absolutely, positively BEGS to be played with Guile! You get both Guile and and a flipped Erayo out, and tables will give up! I've never built a blue deck in my life, but I think I just built yours. :) Hope it works for you, if you have time, play against me with it on Cockatrice!
I JUST WENT FRONT PAGE! I joined two days ago and this is the first deck I built, and it's already here. And it's my birthday (no joking). Happy Birthday to me. :) K, now that the excitement is over, PLEASE check out and comment on my other decks (you can make it my birthday present)! If you do, the sun will not explode today (or tomorrow!), the Cylons won't attack us, the Borg will not assimilate us, the Daleks will not exterminate us, and Will Robinson will not be in danger. Simply put, by checking out my other decks, you save lives. And occasionally, you might just save the entire universe. Basically, you somehow become Picard, The Doctor, and Billy Adama all at once! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381605 - A blue green red combo (not infinite) deck that can wipe a multiplayer table just by declaring one attacker, your creatures don't even have to deal combat damage, the table dies during the declare attackers phase. Black green Treefolk tribal with instructions for both Modern and older variants! WARNING: PLAYING WITH MY DECKS MAY CAUSE PLAYERS TO FOCUS YOU IN FUTURE GAMES!!!
Hey, thanks for all the comments on my deck, I think it is almost to the front page and I just joined 2 days ago! Happy day! OK, I've played against Bazaar Trader decks before, let me throw down a few annoying cards you could use... Abyssal Persecutor Mefarious Lych Any Eye creature Dance of the Dead/Immortal Coil+Bojuka Bog Mark of Mutiny/Dominus of Fealty/Bringer of the Red Dawn/Act of Treason etc... Permanently give you control over something your opponents once controlled. Archdemon of Greed (you need humans in your deck) Cinder Giant Steel golem/Grind Monitor There, that's it. Those all go well with bazaar trader. Now that I've put so much work into researching what could go well in this deck, I'm going to shamelessly ask anyone who sees this to check out my decks! I would appreciate some comments on my decks. I just created an account here two days ago and two of them are already looking like they may be front page material judging by the comments. I just need more people! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381549 - Fat Fat Fatty, based around cheating out the biggest most unfair creatures and big creature combos in the game. Tajuru could do it, but it violates my deck's theme, FAT creatures (at least 5/5). I'm not worried about counter spells because I virtually never hard cast with this deck. You can't counterspell something brought out by an ability like DotH or Elvish Piper. Even if she did end up in the graveyard somehow, I can bring her back to play with either my Sheholdred, or to my hand with one of my 4 Eternal Witnesses. Your leeched lockdown deck could slow my deck down, but again I'll remind you that with both the Piper and the DotH, I'm not playing the creatures, I'm putting them directly in to play, thus the Leech's ability wouldn't affect my big creatures, though it would make it more costly to play DotH repetitively. I do have birds and harbingers that add a LOT of mana accell and fixing to the deck though, so I don't think that would be much of a problem. I'll throw down a few card suggestions for the lockdown deck, I've played against a very annoying deck that employs Bazaar Trader.
I thought I commented on your ride the lightning deck, but I guess not, lol. Will check a few more out. What ones do you like the most that you think may be front page worthy? You've loaded a lot.
I love how annoying this deck looks. Great control with the Namless Inversion trick (I've seen it done similarly in other decks) and your creatures just. Don't. Stay. DEAD! Most creature control decks would have a very hard time keeping up with the reanimation, and moving stuff directly from the deck to the graveyard is always great in, especially when you exploit the right creatures! One question: Why no Demigod of Revenge? You must have considered that card. I would appreciate some comments on my decks. PS. When you bring both Iona and Painters out using DotH, you should declare "Indigo!" or "Aquamerene!" or "Orange!". Basically, any color that doesn't exist in game. Because, well, it exists now.
You flatter me bro, don't stop! :) If you can tell people to check out my decks it'd be awesome, I really want to front page em'!
Thanks for the comments on my deck and great deck entry into my competition! Competition link - http://forums.mtgvault.com/showthread.php?t=7276 Y'know, I love tribal decks. You might not be able to tell it from what I've uploaded (yet), but I really do enjoy em'. The synergy here is cool, I've never built a human deck but maybe I should? I've also never built a Standard deck. How did this deck do in competitive play? I assume you've taken it to FNM? PS. Anyone who says to get rid of the riders is talking crazy talk. Even against non tribal decks, so long as they are swinging at you with something, those things will ALWAYS be useful. You like humans? I like Zombies! Check out my mono black zombie deck. I think your humans might win just because they are probably faster. Mono Black Zombie Deathtouch First Strike Swampwalk Regenerate - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=381596 My other decks: Fat Fat Fatty, the latest evolution of the second deck I ever built, and the contest deck. Oh man, Iona + Painter's? LOVE IT. Indestructible seems to negate undying, maybe if you were to include something that allowed you to sac your creatures to your advantage? Interesting take on my theme! You toned down on the big creatures and brought in some more smaller support creatures though, so not quite what I had in mind, but you certainly still exploited DotH. You might want to consider a little more mana fixing with your lands, in case you actually have to hard cast something that's not green (it does happen, and you'll be grateful you worked it out beforehand). 10 points for being the first challenge entry!
