It pretty much acts like a bitterbomb. It can get to the point where you don't even look at the two cards each time and just take out the chunk. Even blindly removing 25% of someone's deck is soul-crushing.

Really you can cut the "Cash Lands". When I got this as a gift, it didn't have Gaea's Cradle, Verdant Catacombs, and Bayou and it ran just fine. Does Cradle make it faster? Of course...it gives you stupid amounts of mana, but it's not NEEDED. That should take care of a big chunk of the budget.EDIT: Just did the math, and you'll cut out about $245.00 from the cost if you take out the "cash lands".
Oh, and Jens, Skisdag High Priest *IS* silly with this deck, so I can see why. That said, a little tap of Gaea's Cradle with a healthy horde of saps and Thoughtpicker Witch can leave someone feeling like I took their arm off.
It's no problem dude. I'm honestly surprised by how few people knew about the rule, so I realized I really can't get upset about someone not getting it. And yeah, sorry if I came off as a jerk =P
Contagion Engine is great, and fits the whole "dirty" theme very well...Can't believe I forgot that one.I could have sworn I put Spore Flower in the list...crap now I'll have to do some finagling. As for Savage, call me crazy, but I just don't like it. It's my least favorite thallid and I can't even put a finger on why.I don't think I could do the Pod at this point, simply because it requires some serious dedication to the goofy pod curve shenanigans. Hibernation's End sounds awesome, and I didn't quite cross my mind how perfectly it will move up the ladder. Thanks for the help =]
Follow the link on that page that says "(You can read more about their rules here)" and go to where it says 'Deck Construction' under 'Rules'. Read Rule number 3.EDIT: Damn, Jens...Beat me to it.
Tried it, and it worked like a charm.
Taken directly from the EDH official rules website. "903.4. The Commander variant uses color identity to determine what cards can be in a deck with a certain commander. The color identity of a card is the color or colors of any mana symbols in that card's mana cost or rules text, plus any colors defined by its characteristic-defining abilities (see rule 604.3) or color indicator (see rule 204).Example: Bosh, Iron Golem is a legendary artifact creature with mana cost {8} and the ability "{3}{R}, Sacrifice an artifact: Bosh, Iron Golem deals damage equal to the sacrificed artifact's converted mana cost to target creature or player." Bosh's color identity is red. 903.4a Color identity is established before the game begins. 903.4b Reminder text is ignored when determining a card's color identity. See rule 207.2. 903.4c The back face of a double-faced card (see rule 711) is included when determining a card's color identity."It helps to know the rules before accusing someone else of not knowing them.
Hrm...Mayhaps
I think what I like most about this package is the Memory's Journey. It just seems like such a useful card, even in there as a one-of. It's easy to forget how little having just one of something in Lands matters, so I think it's a powerful addition. Overall I think this is a little bit more aggressive than what I've seen of your Lands frames in the past, but I think I like it.
I TOTALLY FORGOT NEMATA! Thanks =DI also like the idea of Parallel Evo.
Read the above comments dude. Color Identity =]
S'all good man.
I just found it to be a bit too slow or unreliable. It COULD get huge, but other times it was a bit of a dead draw.
My only guess is he doesn't know about the "Color Identity" rule for EDH, which designates Thelon as Green AND Black versus being mono-green/unplayable. Same rule makes Rhys the Exiled black/green, Memnarch blue, and Bosh red.
Hrm...I'm gonna have to think about this a bit. Forgot primal also goes off instantly with doubling season....
Primal hunter is great, don't get me wrong, but in this deck I get a lot out of Wildspeaker. He gives me another Overrun effect (immediately if I play him with Doubling Season out) and getting a second use out of some of the lands in this deck is a huge advantage.
It was very nice of him. I did add most of the really expensive lands myself though, like Cradle, Bayou, and V. Catacombs...but still, it was very nice of him.
It's not words thrown together, I know what they all mean =PAs for what exactly Iso-Seek Parfait actually IMPLIES...well... http://www.myfacewhen.net/uploads/2058-thinking.jpgIt looks good, I just need figure out how it would play out.
Yeah, it doesn't hurt to have some token killers when playing Tribal. It will make some people sad pandas, such as Goat players (Springjack tokens is basically the whole deck). I still can't help thinking Tymaret would be amazing in this list, so don't count him out.
