Normally I'd also suggest asking Wumps about this kind of thing, but the poor guy's been so entrenched in pre-wedding stuff that he hasn't been on in something like a month =/
Oh god no. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
...And now I can't get Voodoo Lady out of my head! >.<
They look nice =P
Heliod's Spear essentially has replaced it, and I didn't really have room in here for both.
I hope I'm not the only one who sees how clever this post is.
Now THAT is a tough question. It really depends on the situation and the deck you're playing. I typically keep it at one or two and RARELY three. It might not seem like only one or two would make a difference, but believe me, it does. The main thing is to always be sure you're comfortable with the number of Soot counters on it. Smokestack is a dangerous card for both players, so don't let it kill you because you're trying to put too much pressure on your opponent.
I'm honestly surprised you don't build more EDH decks. It just seems like something you could immerse yourself into.
Hehehe, I've always loved this deck of yours man. One card I always suggest for 3+ color EDH decks now is Chromatic Lantern. Hope that helps =]
You just about hit the nail on the head there Dag.Effects like Extirpate and Seek are like a surgeon's scalpel, whereas Tormod's Crypt is like a chainsaw. They both cut, but one's precise and the other just makes a mess.
So you like it? I think my favorite shenanigan is the use of Godhead of Awe. That, or Terastodon...because elephants.
Oh man, I know the episode of Dr. Who that's from...That shit was sad, now I'm sad =[And I can dig it. Always good to test things out.
Thanks =]I know what you mean about Chant. I've tried to cram a third one in there, but just can't find a place for it. It was dropping down to two Grasps that made the curve shift in a way that made me also decide to change out Trinisphere for the second Stax. I'm glad I made the decision though, that second smokestack has made a big difference, and puts less pressure on my ETs.
Oh Mental Misstep...how I miss thee.I find it very strange you have Jitte in the SB and B. Collar in the MB, but otherwise I like it a lot. The two singleton spells seem a bit out of place though. I think you would do better to have one of them become a 2-of.Hey, by the way, I posted up my latest design for my Iso-Seek and I'd like a second opinion on it if ya don't mind =]
That's not a bad idea actually...Seeing as how Serra's Sanctum makes this deck silly.
I get that. I've never been a follower of the 4 Wasteland thing, but I also know I'm in the minority with that.
I like this better than the Zoo list, I think it suits it better. Though, I can't deny the thought of DarkStage in Zoo makes my left eye start twitching, so maybe it's bias. Why no singleton Dryad Arbor for various "snag a creature/snag a land" shenanigans?
Perhaps you could drop down to 3 Wastelands and up your Wooded Foothills to 4. Then you could make one or two of your dual lands half swamp. This would allow you to use AD and shift your 3 SE to a 2/1 split of SE and Extirpate.
