Wrong format, that's Vintage. Sadly those are banned in Legacy, it makes building certain decks(read: combo) a lot simpler.

Designs like this used to be pretty popular, but recently most brewers for it migrated to Hive Mind, and it has been pretty much phased out :/

I suggest trying a Dream Halls deck, it's fun, and it allows soooo much room for brewing.

Tried to think of something to deal with the problems, came up with nothing that hasn't already been mentioned. Listening to Moby is clouding my perception right now, and how his music can make me like even Gwen Stefani.

Point taken. I also agree that this is about as good as it gets for extraction in Modern, it could devastate most every deck I've seen for the format so far :O

For issues of redundancy I'd take out a Jace for a second Crucible. It improves your base speed to stabilize when you have a Crucible online, especially with Wasteland, and it allows a more gentle margin for play error(read: wrong time to play Armageddon).

I enjoy control like this, and used to make them all the time, just never in these colours... Might have to remedy that eventually, but right now I'm looking into goofing off with Pox again :D

The deck is pretty solid, but I don't think a black splash for ONE Bitterblossom is really worth it. I usually use it as an excuse to run Bloodghast as a finisher, generally as a trio, or discard. It's really amazing what a play set of Thoughtseize can do for your game.

I remember the legacy version of this deck well, it was my first combo deck. I have a special place in my heart for these decks, but nowadays storm is just so much more efficient sadly.

I like the deck, haven't seen Dream Halls in a while, and this is brutal even for the style.

Ouch. I keep everything within small boxes, but one of my friends has I think.... Four 30cm x 30cm boxes...
Takes soooo long for him to trade with anybody lol.

Lotus Cobra is a weird mana fixer, and its usefulness is only in a few decks. Sometimes dirt makes good use of it, and Jace decks have done so as well, especially in vintage. Snake City Vaults by Stephen Menendian is such a brilliantly designed deck it made me do a triple take.

I had something, I even tinkered with the deck idea to see if I could get the thing working with a playset of Mishra's Factory(personal preference over Mutavault), and succeeded. Deleted the deck because I USUALLY can remember this stuff perfectly.

It's easy enough to do if you ran U/B, but with white not so much. Could cheapen the deck to run a pair by trading out some substance in the land base for fetches, but eh :/

Hmmm, nice. Much more stable than the other one, I like it. In Modern some of the best ways I see aggro beating out control is because of Bitterblossom, and Stoneforge+Batterskull, and this has ways to deal with both of those very nicely.
I'm a bit surprised by no Praetor's Grasp, but it oddly enough makes sense here.

I think something that could be potentially useful is some sort of removal, such as perhaps PtE, Dismember, or Go for the Throat. It could help with threats that you might miss.

It's been awhile since I retooled my original black deck, I think it's about that time again :)

Something to think about is getting a few Undiscovered Paradise, it makes working with Bloodghast soooo freaking simple I can't believe it sometimes. I've won a LOT of games with my Jericho list because of the ghast, and the mana I can rip from a Lotus Cobra, and Undiscovered Paradise is an easy way to maintain those triggers.

I say go for it, Noble opened up a brand new world where mana dorks who could make multiple colours weren't useless.

Also, I really like the deck man, it seems solid as hell, and it has a better aggressive front than a good many legacy decks I've seen(Usually anything with the word stompy in the name, but not running mono-green). My main problem with modern stands though; Hymn to Tourach would take this deck to a whole different level.

Have you considered Lim-Dul's Vault over Beseech the queen? It runs at about the same speed, but it doesn't try and destroy your face if you flip it with Bob.

I've been going over this and am currently considering tinkering about with the idea of HexDepths in legacy after seeing it, but I dunno. I've seen a lands deck running the combo, which is interesting, but I like the esper idea more.

On the subject of the deck, I think perhaps running some manlands could be beneficial. They work so well with Standstill, it stalls for time when you're pressured, and you can hit it with a path to fetch your Depths.

After poking around on this, I can say that while I like it, I'm not quite sold on it. It's fast enough for the format, but it's not quite refined as I enjoy extraction being. It's current design lacks stability.

Sorry it took so long, some friends of mine moved today, so I've spent the week hanging out with them.

My internet has been down a while, so I haven't got to see what all madness you all have concocted, and I probably won't be able to tonight either. I'll be able to give an actual opinion on this, Ethan's Standstill Depths deck, one of the newer decks from Savage, and Joe's Modern Dirt...
I have some catching up to do it would seem.

Pretty unique doomsday deck, with some interesting ideas. I mostly use Doomsday as an engine for storm, or with Shelldock Isle so I can get an Emrakul or Progenitus on the field against certain controlly MU's.

I think it's a bit divided though, capable of many lines of approach, but not particularly deadly for any of them.
Also, didn't know Diabolic Intent existed... I think I might have a new toy.

Hmmmm neat. Something to think about is Tombstalker, it brings so much speed to the table it's insane.

Well, I can't quite agree with losing the bolts, as they provide so much use against so many decks. Everybody has utility creatures, or planeswalkers now, and lightning bolt kills those pretty dang well.

Sylvan Library is a nice bit of card filter, and it seems like it could replace ponder.
And the Terastodon MD is a smart move, as most of the time when piloting a NO RUG list everybody seems to find room for it game two.

I almost always board in Terastodon second game, so I'd say it makes sense. It swings so much favor to your side of the game it's insane.

And I can see how Eternal Witness could wind up overly techy.

Hmmm, interesting choices here. I'm interested by using Eternal Witness in NO RUG, it seems like it could be rather useful in some situations.
